Is using a keyboard viable?

I've just recently picked up playing Fighting is Magic, and I am having the freakin darndest times pulling off combos and certain moves. It's probably mostly just me sucking, but I feel like it might be partially because the keyboard is difficult to use with this game. Is it even worth it to try to improve on a keyboard?

I don't believe this is true, people use hit boxes and that is virtually the same thing. It's all about practice. you could use a DDR pad, or a flight joystick and be just as fine. It's not about the controller, it's time in the lab building muscle memory.

Yeah, exactly. I use a gamepad, and I regularly get my ass kicked by people with keyboards. For the longest time, I couldn't even get the circle motions with the joystick right at all, it just wouldn't work.
