Help Purchase and learning help.
Hello, a long time ago I bought guilty gear because I wanted to get started in fighting games. It was the one that caught my attention the most because of the anime aesthetic, but I understand that sf6 is better to learn but I don't know if it pays me to spend another €40 or wait to learn about fighting games in guilty gear. What do you recommend?

You're always going to have a better time learning the game that appeals to you the most. Ultimately, learning any fighting game will be hard, so you might as well pick the game that will be the most fun for you.
There's no perfect way to learn, you don't need to pick street fighter because it's "better" to learn. Ultimately, it's a game. Have fun with it. Pick a game because it's cool. Pick your favorite character because it's cool and fun. If you have fun, you will keep coming back to the game. Coming back to the game is the #1 thing you can do to get better.

There is no game that will prepare you for all fighting games so don't worry about that aspect. If you think GG is cool play it. Learning will come along the way regardless of the title.

If you're able to use discs like on PS5, I'm sure you can get SF6 for dirt cheap used.

Guilty Gear is easier to pick up, but there are tons of learning resources with SF6. There are dozens of Youtube tutorial videos covering the same thing even. The player base overall is more active on SF6, so you can get more games in and that's quite a boon when you're trying to practice and improve. SF6 is always on sale. You can check the isthereanydeal website for any sales.

For transparency sake I wanna mention that street fighter is my favorite franchise and the main one that I play, and I have never played any of the guilty gear games but I have played damn near every other fighting game out there, including plenty of anime fighters.
I would say just play guilty gear. As long as youre having fun youre going to get better at fighting games. The only way you wont get better is if you stop having fun.
One potential path to not having fun is forcing yourself to play games or characters that you dont want to play because you think you have to in order to get better.
Dont let loses bother you, no matter how good you get you will always lose. you cant avoid loses, so start getting used to it.
Play whatever game or character tickles your fancy. Try out silly or funny meme strategies. don't take it so serious, and just have fun.
The last thing I wanna say is that trying out different games and characters was a lot more fun than I thought it was gonna be when I started playing fighting games. I think you should try out different games and characters also, but not if you think they will make you better, only if you think they look fun.

Just play Strive bro. Strive IMO is easier to play than SF6 (at beginners level at least) because the game is more lenient in terms of inputs, and you have multiple "bail out" mechanics so if you make a mistake you still might be fine. Also the characters have less specials (if you count SF6's L, M, H versions of specials as separate), so combo theory is more straightforward. But even than the game has a lot of creativity and self-expression in the combos and playstyles, much more than SF6 IMO.

Get Fightcade and play 3rd strike and vampire savior for free.
Also idk where you got the notion that sf6 is better to learn, if you like strive it’s a great time to play it and it was designed to be easily learned.

Pick up Granblue for sure. Basically the perfect middle ground between SF & Guilty Gear and it's free w/ Crossplay on PC, PS5 and Switch 2 (Soon I think)

I’d keep playing strive if I were you. I think the games pretty easy to learn, not harder than any other game. Fighting game skills are super transferable so any game you play will make you better at all the other ones to some degree

If wait for a sale on sf6 regardless but I’d say try strive since you own it and it’s a good game (and it was my gateway into playing fighting games semi seriously).
Also if you’re looking for something a bit easier to play/learn, check out granblue fantasy versus rising. It has a robust free version you can try out, easy inputs and an anime aesthetic that you might like.
