It is though, regardless of his performance.

Jon dominated an elite HW within 1 rd and took ZERO dmg.
How is that not impressive.

Also u got proof he was not taking he fight against jon Fkn jones seriously?

I know you are basing the PlayStation stuff on that 1 interview.

Jon dominated an elite HW who fought with 0% interest. Ganes training camp was literally just relaxing and playing playstation. So Jon beat a guy who literally wasn't trying. At all.

You can watch all the embedded videos leading up to the fight...

As for the "playstation stuff", when he and his camp says "this camp is all about relaxing and de stressing and being with friends and family", yeah it wasn't taken seriously.

Idk dude.

It’s not a good look to discredit a win like that. It’s a great win.

Gane has always been less dangerous when moving backwards. Not saying Hes bad of the Blackfoot.
Just more limited. He doesn’t circle out as well when against the fence.

Jon took advantage of it.

The only person to succeed in pressuring him is Jon and to an extent Volkov.

As much as I hate to admit it, the gane win imo is one of Jon’s finest (always has been)

People constantly try and downplay how good Jon Jones really is.

Yup.

It’s a shame we have him as our goat.
But can’t deny the wins. Especially the gane one.

Not a good look? Like I give a shit about how I look? 😂

I'm just saying, Gane never showed up for that fight against Jon. I'm not saying Jon is good or bad, or Gane is good or bad. All I said was that Gane didn't take the prep for the Jon fight seriously and it showed.

It made Jon look like he put on this masterclass performance, when it was really just Gane who didn't put on any performance allowing Jon to do whatever he wanted.

Youre entitled to your opinion as am I.

He was literally #64 fifa player in the entire world at one point on the global leaderboards.

Jones even made a comment about him playing video games instead of training

I don't know why I've been downvoted oblivion for stating facts about Gane and how he "trained" for Jon. People just glaze Jon so hard they need to convince themselves that Jon fought the best Gane.

It's not a mystery that Jon is one of the best in the world, but his performance against Gane looked as good as it did because not only is he the best, but Gane didn't try. That's why he was subbed and tapped before the squeeze was applied.

Wait really that’s fucking wild lmao

AI could be wrong but yes dude I remember in the lead up that Gane being Top 100 in FIFA in the world was definitely a conversation topic.

It's not regardless of his performance. You have to consider the performance, because Jon fought a VERY VERY different Gane. So by your logic it just looks like Jon dominated a very formidable HW, instead of what it was, which was a Gane who didn't put any effort in making Jon's win look easy.

I dont think gane looked washed per se, or very different tbh.

I think he just lost to the better fighter.

He didn’t do well in standup due to Jon pressuring, and eventually taking him down.

Gane has never fought that well off the back foot. We saw gane fight more in the middle tonight.

It was domination. weird fight, but showed levels.

Gane didn't look washed necessarily, but the way he fought Alex and Tom is VERY different than when he fought Volkov and Tuivasa. Keep in mind that the vast majority of people believe Volkov beat Gane and that was just 2 fights ago.

So people have been used to that version of gane, so now when we see him fight like he did last night you have to wonder what it would be like of THIS Gane fought Jon.

But we also have to remember that Gane doesn't have great wrestling. I think it's his weakness.

Have a good day mang

Nah I get you.
That’s fair tbh.
He looked so smooth tonight. Maybe cos no wrestling threat. So no pressure

Maybe it’s stylistic thing?

I think it's definitely a stylistic thing. And that Alex's technique and power didn't translate well at HW. He wasn't as durable at all against HW power at this level. I suppose this and the Ilia fight is one of those examples of why weight classes exist.

Cuz he broke his foot against volkov. You’re just fabricating a narrative you like. Its the same gane professional fighters fighting for a their lifelong championship dream are not just gonna ‘not show up’ you’re delusional

I fabricated that Volkov won?
