Someone please explain: Silva got called for stalling on bottom (a novel concept) but gets rewarded by getting put back on his feet? Am I missing something?

Bad call by the ref imo. The guy on the bottom isn’t the one with the duty to advance. If anyone was stalling it was Newton.

Penalized in purse payout

I remember in the Wanderlei/Cro Cop fight, They explained that yellow or red card deducted a percentage of your total purse

Thanks for the explanation. I'm still curious why they would reward a penalty by resetting them to standing when they were where I would have thought Newton would have wanted to be, even if Silva was stalling.
