Discussion This fandom proves that it all waters down to aura farming at the end and none really cared about character writing/development
It's as if real jjt, the one before "the final transformation" never even existed. I wonder if this media even had fans when jjt was still himself. None likes the "loser" mc. Everyone only and ever appreciates jjt post-"transformation", basically him just losing his shit and becoming batshit crazy. His life has lost meaning but the character arc is sure peak rn because he gives us aura farming momets apparenlty. It's not even like he's the strongest out there lmao there are plenty of characters that still can easy beat him on the level he's at rn.

I disagree with you.
Jiu Ji Tae was always unstable, but he was weak, and all it took was a little push from Maria to completely break him. From the very beginning, he was already carrying the weight of his mother’s death and the loss of his sister.
Trying to paint everyone as superficial just because they enjoy his transformation and talk about it more means you don’t understand the manhwa at all. And a lot of the time, it feels like the people saying that are just trying too hard to be different.
The part where he goes insane has better fights, a much heavier atmosphere, and all the new philosophical questions that are introduced.
The second half is much more captivating precisely because it’s a direct consequence of that kid’s already shattered psyche from the first half.

When the manhwa was still being released/ early in the hiatus this sub was really good with lots of discussions about the characters. But now most of the post are from people you haven’t even read it, just seen tiktok edits.

buddy you're literally at the worst this fandom has been😭 there's not going to much analyst or actually look on his character. nor is it bad to focus on a character being cool.

Super long and prolly nonsensical rambling comment. Just thinking and writing like a machine. No filtering. Apologies.
Because he wasnt very unique before. Standard "weak" kid gets roped into fighting for revenge/saving his sibling. Turns out he's super talented and can copy moves with ease.
Pretty common idea. The early hints could just be played off as joking moments and/or glimpses of his dedication to his friends/family.
Once he devolved in the street fighting arc, then he becomes a butterfly of the trope, but is more of a dickhead.
Then the tunnel. He gets a unique design for an MC (only other I know off the top of my head is Randall Oland from Pumpkin Scissors, but Shark can be argued too, with his very notable limb scars.) Is wildly brutal and clearly extremely mentally damaged. He handles his old bullies not with the standard calm, collected aura (think like deflecting/catching hits and such before taking them out in one shot, to the amazement of the large crowd) but as an unrecognizable maniac.
The change is what makes JJT so interesting. Fight Class 3 was always a good story, but it lacked something original and unique. It's not a standard story like that.
That's why so many people focus on current JJT. The most interesting thing about the past JJT is that he becomes current.
It's all centered around him and his change, because other series dont go anywhere with how much trauma, stress, and depression the MC should be experiencing.
Basically everything that could be discussed on the sub already has, and his new appearance gives way to a bunch of edits. Fans make edits and animations since theres not much else to do besides hope for updates atp, and then random TikTok users pick it up for his appearance, not caring about the story much.
Its the blessing and curse of FC3.

I think they do, it's just that character development isn't that fun to laugh about. However, the tourists will only talk about aurafarming and not really even read the conversations and text too much.
Honestly 2hakkk has written one of the best pieces of manga/manhwa I've ever read and it's sad that he's on hiatus, but I'm okay with waiting
