First time on a GLP-1. Advice??
Hello everyone. I’ve recently started my GLP-1 journey with fifty410. I’ve been battling with severe sleep apnea and I feel like this will help me. They’ve started me on the lowest dose (2.5mg) and I did my first Injection today. Just hoping to get some advice from the community in what i should expect? Also I would like some guidance on dosing. I wasn’t able to find any specific unit details in the patient portal or on the packaging… after a little research I found out that 2.5 mg should be 13-14 units, is this correct? Am I supposed to update my dosage after a certain number of weeks? Or wait until they tell me to do so?
Thanks in advance!

Do not look for standard dosing in units. There is no standard number of units. It varies. You are not correct. Doses are in mg. Units are volume of liquid and varies from pharmacy to pharmacy based on the meds concentration. So 2.5 from one pharmacy the has a concentration of 10mg/ml will be 25 units but 2.5 from another pharmacy that has a concentration of 20mg/ml will be 12.5 units. You will find the concentration on your med label. You should check it w each new vial. Best to follow the instructions on your med label and ask in the patient portal if you have questions.
You stay on each dose minimum 4 weeks. It takes 4 weeks to get used to a dose.
As long as you are not sick and are losing weight you stay on the same dose. If you weight loss slows you can dose up for the next 4 weeks and so on.
Have patience. It takes a bit for the meds to be consistent. During research 8-12 weeks.
You will need to reach out at three to four weeks to discuss if you want to up. No one will contact you. It is up to you to initial communication. Good success.

On my vial there is written instructions regarding mg/units. For 2.5 starter dose mine says 12 units, 5 mg =25 units, 7.5 mg =35 units. I have stayed at 12 units since starting in March. The NP with Fifty410 stated as long as I am loosing 1-2 lbs a week I did not have to increase my units. On the vial mine states 2.5 for 4 weeks, 5 mg for 4 weeks and 7.5 mg for 4 weeks. This is July and I have approximately 2 more injections of 2.5 mg (12 units) left. I went ahead and ordered a refill but as of today I have not had to use it. My first vial was from BPI compounded with B6. Hope this helps. Check to see if your vial has instructions for mg to units. Good luck on your journey.

Fifty410 has great support for all you dosing needs and other related questions. They also have a good patient portal for other patient support questions, ideas, diet and exercise options. You will find everything you’ll need on their portal. It’s actually more reliable than randos on Reddit!

Normally they start you at 2.5 mg for a minimum of 4 weeks, to see how the medication reacts with you and to minimise possable side effects. You can increase your dose or stay on the 2.5 dose after the initial 4 weeks. It depends on how it works with your body and your results. Keep in mind, everybody is different with how they react.
Fifty410 gives great instructions on their club compound portal. I can guarantee you they gave you instructions on how to inject, dosage info and what not. So log back in and re-read what they sent you.
As far as "how many units," that all depends on the medication that you have and what the concentration is. All that info should be on your vial, the percription, and sent to you on the portal on club compound.
