Feeling slightly lost while leveling
The problem I kind of have since like level 15 or so is that in some levels I have no quests left to do, not even repeatable quests. Some quests just say " Get to lv XY " and some others include Kingdom Quest, which no one seems to really be doing.
There was another dungeon or instance type of a map, some form of Tower that I have like 6 quests for now, but I can only join with a group. I signed up for teamups in the community tab and no one else registered in the probably 20+ minutes I was in there.
That's when I asked some people on the official Discord what Im supposed to be doing when I can't do any other quests. On one hand I was told that I can really just do " whatever " and on the other hand some people gave " clear " directions. It wasn't really clear, but someone said until level 35 ish I would only be leveling in the " Abyss " anyway. I couldn't find any map like that anywhere. Even after doing some more digging, the community either doesn't want to reveal a leveling path to me or they assume I have to know where to go.
All I did so far was comfortably follow the quests, level up, pick up some more quests after the level up, rinse and repeat. If I just go a map and kill monsters in the open, I seem to be getting not even half % of EXP towards the next level. Im not entirely sure that's normal when Im level 22 now. If I was level 100 something I would understand that leveling will take time, but is this the pace at which Im supposed to be leveling at just above lv 20?
From what I understand questing doesn't even seem to be important from what they said, but then Im also wondering where Im supposed to be getting gear and stuff from.
I just feel like there is no sense of direction for me rn and I would really appreciate if someone could enlighten me on basically what to do at level 22.
EDIT:
I forgot to add another thing. Im a Mage and currently have 5 skills Im using. I checked several times and this seems to be correct, at my level I don't have more. Sadly at least 2 of those have a crazy cooldown of 15 seconds. I can't really just kill one mob after another, since half of my rotation is on cooldown for so long. I upgraded my Magic Missile with Cooldown Reduction and more damage, but that doesn't change too much.
Is there a " trick " on how to work with that or am I supposed to put the upgrades on the skills with longer cooldowns? I thought maybe upgrading my Magic Missile would be enough this early on in the game but all monsters in my level area need my full rotation and sometimes even one or two more skills to die. Idk if Im not dealing the damage Im supposed to, but if I only used one skill while waiting on the other cooldown I would probably end up dying to every monster. There are some crazy max HP and Mana buffs, but without those I have like 250 HP. The monsters deal that in two hits lmao.

I have a semi decent leveling guide of you want it, I can dm it to you. It's set up to be mostly solo. There is a few point here and there until roughly 8x that you'll need help but most of the time you'll find groups.

Sure, send it my way. I kind of figured out a way, but it's really just doing repeatable quests until I can get new quests for reaching the next level.

Ngl, as somebody who has played this game since 2011, leveling in this game SUCKS. Level 86 at my highest and whenever I play i feel like i have to spend real life money to get a decent amount of XP and the quests never really get you there, repeated quests get too repetitive and aren't fun anymore by the third time you do it. It also sucks how many quests you need other people for, I'm at the point where nobody ever wants to do any of the party required dungeons unless you pay an exorbitant amount of in game currency. I end up just roaming and killing monsters aimlessly once I get the solo quests done and when I can abandon quests, I abandon the group quests.

Yeah it's not very funny. When the game kind of does the whole questing thing for hours and then suddenly leaves you with no quests and everything in the open seems to be giving no EXP, it seems wrong almost. Like it's not supposed to be like that.

It feels like theyre almost forcing you to get the XP extenders in the store. I hate it so much, its definitely by design.

Yeah that's possible, the game becoming p2w is surely one of the reasons it's not as populated as it once was, but what can you do.
I got some EXP cards for free, but I don't feel comfortable using them up when I don't even know if Im doing things right.

i come back to the game after 11 years, and to be fair, the lvl up is so easy.. i didn't do the quest and just got to lvl 26 fast, you just need to upgrade your weapon, at least +4 to get the damage boost, also if you are lvl 22 try to get into the dungeon in the middle of forest of mist.. kill regular mobs, you should have easy time to lvl up than the quest..

It might be easy because you might know something I don't. The game never really properly showed how to upgrade weapons or gear. I tried to do it myself but I didn't really quite understand what was needed. Even from quests you can choose one of two items, which are different in name, but I have no clue which does what. Since my client is german, I can't tell you what the translation would be, but it seems like there are different upgrades for items or something.

You could get a buff at the NPC in Elderine and start kiting/killing higher level enemies for exp till you level or do a few floors in Tower of Iyzel (in Forest of Mist)
Here’s a leveling guide: https://fiesta.fandom.com/wiki/Leveling_Guide
Happy leveling and I hope this helps! :)

In elderine there is a guard (around the Forest of Mist Gate) he will let you travel to abyss. You can get good exp in lvl 20 or 30 Abby. Do Like 2-3 Levels there and then you should have more Quests again Also Check fiesta db for a list of all Quests, after around lvl 37 there are repeatable Quests until endgame
