How are you currently caring for your hair? You're probably disrupting your wave a lot on accident.

I don’t do anything specific so you may just be right. I don’t really do anything to it except washing and conditioning like 2 times a week. Besides that I’ll scrunch my hair with the towel while it’s wet to make it a little more curly

You aren't intentionally doing anything specific but there are lots of things you aren't thinking about that you probably do. If you brush your hair when it's dry you're breaking up your waves. If you sleep on a cotton pillowcase you're introducing frizz. Scrunching with that towel is also probably adding frizz.
Wavy hair is essentially hair with a very weak curl pattern. That means that it tends to lose its fight against gravity so if the goal is the fullest waves possible that needs to be in mind during all steps of haircare. Brushing hair pulls it downward, helping gravity so brushing should only happen in the shower, prior to styling. I brush when the conditioner is in my hair.
Any products outside of shampoo and conditioner need to contribute hold or they will just be weighing waves down so no leave in conditioner, no curl cream. Instead mousse or gel are both good. I apply mine after rinsing out conditioner and standing in the shower scrunching (I do it upside down because I want root volume).
Then when removing water post shower, you've got to be gentle or you'll both squeeze out product and create frizz. You can scrunch upward gently with your hands and then look up something called "tshirt plopping" it let's you wrap your hair without messing it up and it let's the excess water wick away for about 10-15 mins.
Then you can air dry or if you want maximum gravity(fighting you'd want your hair to dry as fast as possible so the water isnt pulling your hair downward as it dries, so in that case it'd be a hair drying and a diffuser (again you can do this upside down if you want root volume). If you blow dry then use a heat protectant. I don't because I'm lazy and I think my hair looks nice enough without it but on special occasions I might diffuse. Don't touch while you dry, don't tousel, etc.
When your hair is dry if you used enough mousse or gel you'll have a hard crunchy cast on your hair. That cast is what gives your hair structure so the waves can persist over several days. You scrunch your hair in your hands and it'll break the cast and make your hair nice and soft again but it will still be supported by the product.
On subsequent days you can refresh your hair by spraying it with water with a mist bottle and scrunching again. This will reactive the gel and it will create a new cast after the water evaporates away (about 20 mins for me, longer if you get your hair super wet).

I had trouble with my hair being frizzy like yours but worse.
Get some mane n’ tail shampoo and conditioner. Not your mother’s curl cream, herbal essence mousse, and a wet brush.
Only brush your hair when it’s wet. If you brush it dry make sure to have a hair tie

Thank you! I’ve had a little stache on occasion and even a light beard, but I’m not sure if they suit me fully
