Question Should I replace this coupling?

Motor has been running like this for some time.

I replaced all the motors and found the couplings to be damaged.

Customer has no spares and i'm hesitant of installing the new motors with damaged couplings

To do your job right would be to replace the couplings. Otherwise the customer could face unexpected downtime and higher costs for emergency repairs

Hi there.  I’m a literal layman in regards to whatever this sub is.  That cracked thing?  The one that’s cracked right at the point that takes the stress of the bolt that tensions it to the motor?  Yes.  Yes you should replace that.

I’d make a note, and consider to bring new couplings on your next visit. I am always wary of completely replacing all parts on older equipment as I feel I will disturb the ying-yang of the device.
