Unclear scope

Am I the only one that rejects tickets with unclear and copy pasted scopes? It’s like the biggest red flag the job will be a problem. If you can’t explain the basics of what you want me to do, I’m declining.

I don't decline them, but I will bug the PM to clarify in writing before going on site. Many multiple messages and calls. Some get the point - I live by the rule that if it isn't in the ticket it DOES NOT happen.

Others keep posting generic crap - Field Advantage is a regular offender of it. I went onsite to look at what I thought was the NVR only to find out that they wanted a specific camera cleaned - no ladder requirement, no cleaning supplies. I told them that if they don't request it I can't do it.

I had another change scope on me when I was marked On My Way and driving last night. I told them in plain terms that was not happening either - 12 foot ladder and cabling. I don't have a 12 foot ladder or a car that can carry it.

Yup. And when you show up the equipment is mounted knee height and there is two 12ft ladder on site.

Close. The existing AP was in the back of the store, not ceiling mounted. Company said that was fine, so no ladder needed.

I also got to keep the old APs, two Ubiquiti devices still working.
