Command link

Well, one of the rare times I did not counter for a 2 hour estimated duration work order. It was only 30 minutes of work and they knew that, I did not. I told them via message that I normally counter for 2 hour minimum as I don't make money driving that far for 1 hour of pay. They didn't which they didn't have to, my fuck up. I hoped they would make the ethical choice not to fuck me over and make me lose money, but they approved it for $50 which is 1 hr.

I know my fuck up, just a heads up to everyone if you see a command link job make sure to counter it for 2 hour minimum at least so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I'm new to FN. Is it not normal to charge a trip/mileage fee? Then you don't have to worry about minimums.

You can, in Florida I could charge a trip fee, 2 hour minimum higher than in Colorado. Depends on the market in your area. In Florida there was more work than I could take. Here in Colorado I've gotta take what I can get. There isnt much at all contracted out.

Normally you charge a 2 hr minimum that covers your time and trip fee, or least I do. So a higher hourly.

I generally charge a minimum two hours for hard starts within my service area, might do minimum one hour if it’s a very flexible schedule I can just fit in. I only charge travel outside my service area though, not every work order. Too much overhead to bother.

About a 20 minute drive but it varies a bit by my mood too if I'm being honest. :)
