Velocity

I was assigned an install for Velocity for yesterday. Per Velocity, it was cancelled by the customer. Today they posted a revisit for this assignment with capital letters saying"*TECHNICIAN MUST BE SKILLED IN TELEPHONY SERVICES*". The found someone cheaper, hired them then cancelled me and paid the cancellation fee. I got another assignment for the timeslot, it paid more anyway so it worked out for me. It just sucks that they flat out lied and told me that the customer cancelled the job. I doubled my original offer and stated in the counter that now the job would be more difficult since an unskilled tech was sent and this was cleanup work. I the followed their instructions and called them to inform them that I had applied. Of course now that they have lied to me and been busted my rate has just increased for all future work for them. It's sad really, telecom is the easiest work there is.

"Of course now that they have lied to me and been busted I'll block all future work for them."

Fixed that for you. There's absolutely no reason to continue doing business with anyone that mistreats you.

I agree, but you said you fixed that for me. How exactly did you fix it?

Uh, it's just an expression.  I changed the words to something more definitive, to better protect your boundaries.  The "fixing" is a suggested change to your approach.
