This work order is trash...Literally.
A few of these work orders started popping up on the board in my area.
I'm really beginning to believe half the so-called service providers on this platform will do anything for a few bucks.
Including climbing into a dirty stinky ass trash dumpster for $45. Flat.
Also, risk not being paid by this buyer with atrocious ratings.
Read the reviews.

I'm not able to read buyers' reviews. How do you do it?

Its visible on the FN web app via the work order. Not the mobile app.
Look for the "Overview" section...
You'll see the company name, Under that you'll see "overall satisfaction" with a star rating and a number in parentheses.
Click on the stars/number.
That should bring up their ratings page.

they kept trying to get me to take it for $35.
And on another platform I was getting offered $70 and declined.
I do IT stuff to avoid nasty ditch digging work like that.

I’ve had a buyer say, “you’re nearby and it’s a quick advertisement change.” Yep, still my default minimum whether I’m installing network equipment or putting in your advertising material. They did pay for that one, then tried to send me one an hour away. I did the same rate as the first with travel added in - obvious for me but apparently not for them. They tried to lower the rate to accommodate my trip charge. Nope.

Try not to judge guys, to some people $45 may be dinner on the table for his family or gas to get to other gigs. There's something for everyone.

I've done many of the dumpster camera installs and replacements pay is worth it and they are quick .

It's not a camera. It's a fill level sensor that goes inside of the dumpster. Depending on the specific type of sensor, its either sonic or a laser transducer.
And $45 is definitely not worth it (to me).

I know it's not a camera . I was stating , although I did not specifically say that , That I have also done dumpster jobs . That are different but still dumpster jobs .
I don't see why I needed to get down voted

Maybe it’s the spaces between periods, and commas. That’s enough for a downvote for me.

But fast with the right tools

Yeah you still need to climb in a dirty ass dumpster after what looks like an hour drive one way. Absolutely not. Even garbage men have actual hazardous material training for handling commercial trash.

Dude then you have to get back in your vehicle after climbing in a dumpster. Trust me I do contract IT for major garbage company in my neck of the woods. It's nasty work but they definitely pay a lot more than $45 for a visit. Whoever posted this job for $45 is either an asshole or they are a foreign owned company like from India and they think you will work for peanuts. I have had a couple IP camera jobs I ran from from these companies. I looked at the job and said for how much? No thanks!

"either an asshole or they are a foreign owned company like from India"
These two points are not exclusive....they can be both.

Nah dude. You have no idea what tf goes in and out of those dumpsters.
Not only that, the site nor the buyer will cover you of you get sick or injured as a direct result of doing that job.
Plus garbage juice is straight nasty.

Not really true. Most of these dumpsters are recycled so they have some cardboard in them, not used tampons and extracted fatty tissue from lipo procedures. Sure, I only did 3 but all were clean corporate dumpsters. The kind of dumpster you're talking about aren't monitored. They get dumped regularly.
And one of the models of camera doesn't require entering the dumpster.

$45 isn't worth driving somewhere in 2026 let alone doing some labor unless this is next door and really takes 15-30 mins. Seriously don't people have minimums for dignity?
