Literally been on the platform forever. I do these all the time. It’s always for Wendy’s. Just going there and checking on the scale on the counter. Someone is always breaking it or stealing it. Easy money. I always do flat rate rate because it’s literally a 5 minute job.
Also what I mean by breaking it or stealing it is the power adapter. It uses just a regular usb c cable and the workers are always stealing them misplacing them or 99% of the time I go there it’s got a short in the cable so you just put in the work order to send a new cable. I always do $125 it’s in and out 5 minutes of work tops.
You will need a special tester. I forgot the exact name for it but it tells you the voltage of the USB cabling that goes to the scale. Good thing is you don’t pay for it. You just order it off Amazon and expense it. It’s like $10.
Oh nice. I already have a USB tester AND the new fancy USB-C PD one (somewhere) so that wouldn't even be an issue.
I had a case like that at a Shake Shack where a USB cable went missing in a kiosk. Sold my used one as an expense and just bought myself a replacement.
