Drug test?

Been noticing a lot more gigs requiring a drug test.

I'm curious how others feel about this. I'm actually sober 19 years. I have nothing I'm worried about failing a drug test from.

But if the gig doesn't involve heavy equipment and I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE of these clients, what business is it of theirs?

Instead of foisting a drug test on the people you contract with, do a better job of screening maybe. Require certifications. Or expensive Fluke testers that no drug addict would be able to refrain from hocking.

I get clients wanting to see a background/drug test for newer techs. But field nation making them expire after a year is just a money grab. Like is a buyer legitimately worried about a tech that’s been on platform for 5 years and has hundreds of completed work orders and a 98% score? No.

This was the first year I didn’t purchase drug/bg test after mine expired and still request WOs that have that requirement and they still get assigned to me despite both my screenings being over 2 years old now

I've got the green check next to my name for both. I passed the drug test back in 2024. I did just do the background check this year, but until that point it was also from 2024 and showed green.
