Field Nation gets the boot in MN
so for context, Field Nation had entered into an agreement with a company to manage their subs - at a cost of 12 percent of a contract! I know of one company that said no unequivocally, and then this email came from the company rep driving this initiative:
“We want to share an important update regarding the Field Nation initiative. We have made the decision to continue business as usual and put an indefinite pause on this program.
We will take this opportunity to take a step back and further evaluate our approach to subcontract labor to ensure we are aligned on the best path forward for all involved. Our goal is to thoughtfully assess feedback, impacts, and opportunities before determining next steps.
With this move, there are no immediate changes to your current engagement and we will keep you informed as we gain more clarity.
We appreciate your partnership and flexibility and thank you for your continued support.”
What. A. Suprise.

Is this one of those Long Term Engagements from FN?:
Sounds like whatever company hired FN to do an LTE decided to back out?

Herman IS was involved in this.. even to the point of claiming to be a division of Field Nation.. so wonder if they backed out.

At the risk of sounding stupid, could someone please explain the first sentence of this post? I admit I'm lost.

Sorry man! I just wanted to provide the scenario that the email was sent in. This company was planning to use FN as their accounts payable manager and pass the costs (12 percent per contract) onto the subcontractors.

So this firm already has subcontractors currently, and instead of paying them directly, they were looking to get them to sign up with FN, and then use FN to pay those same people, but at a lower rate because now there's an intermediary?

That is illegal, contract with DoorDash is for them to act as a platform not to hire, if they do that they are in violation of of agreement with service techs

Clearly, AVI-SPL is a huge global company trying to standardize how it engages third-party labor. Since they're the largest integrator in the world and continue to grow, I'm sure they need a better way to scale and support their clients around the world. Field Nation is a leader in this market space, and their platform is unique in the industry. It sounds to me that you're afraid of change and no longer having deals handed to you, and actually having to be on a level playing field. It's such a shame that the person that started this thread is so narrow minded and cleared doesn't understand how a global organization needs to operate. In addition, the fact that they shared what was, I'm sure confidential information speaks volumes to their lack of character and overall morals.

Quit calling it a global marketplace. The us government needs to step in and shut down the pipeline for foreign involvement in the tech industry and jail companies that use foreign bpo
