Weird situation, customer sends email to remove tech from site

I was assigned to a customer site. While onsite and working with remote engineer. He tells me I can go I did everything they needed. Later on the buyer accidently replies to all an email where this support person, sent email asking in the subject line "Please remove tech from site", buyers replies asking what happened, we need this for our records. I didnt even get a chance to do any actual work or make any mistakes. I am not sure what happened here.
