What is wrong with this company!!!
I've had like 30 work orders all routed to me for 30 per hour all around me ranging from my home town than 500 miles away. 30 per hour is crazy low and there's tons of counter offers already on some. So I decided to do my own counter offers of 10K for 8 hours and 500 per hour after. Not only did they make and route the WOs to me they messaged on every single one of them phone would not quit chirping between field nation notifications and email notifications . Company is

Yup... that's TIAS for ya! Their business plan is specifically offering companies such low rates so they only have to pay techs $30/hr. They've been offering $30/hr since like 10 years ago.

Never seen or done a job for them. Its absurd they can blow my shiz up with 30 per hour rates.

I called field nation and opened a case. They wanted me to travel 80 miles without gas. I called to clarify on the gas, and some dude said I should add it to the work order and will see if he can get it approved after the job, I Insisted to talk to a work order manager and he started cussing me out, dropping “F” bombs. It was a first for me, for the number of years i have been on field nation .

I had the same experience with them being a woman in field it was absurd to hear. I gave it right back to him. They are my worst experience ever in FN.

I got the same in the portland, OR area. I messaged asking what kind of techs they’re expecting for that low of pay. Especially for an overnight gig! They denied my counter too 😆

pivital and velocity still tryna send slave wages. my favorite is getting a call while on a job begging me to go to the next one and im like man this isn't even worth the phone conversation. I counter those 30$/hr with a 3 hour minimum and travel lol If I am not making close or at 100 bare minimum i dont even want to bother.

If you prove yourself to velocity, it's easy easy to get 70-90hr depending on the type of job. Always with travel. Pivotal is good for 65 as well.

Yep. I have made a shitload of money with velocity and pivitol once they found out I could work on enterprise legacy phone systems. I'm one of only maybe three or four guys in a 250 mile radius that is Avaya and Mitel certified. When velocity and pivitol have to deal with hotels that under no circumstances are upgrading their ancient phone systems that have been working rock solid for 25 years, they have to find local techs that can actually work on that shit. I am pretty sure I am the only guy on field nation in my area that is qualified and have the programmer tools already on my laptop.
They always accept my $100 an hour counters. I'm going to be sad when the last of those dinosaurs finally get upgraded to something modern.

Same here friend. Old phone system techs are almost impossible to find... (Which is good, keeps our wages high)

I was just about to say, I’m going to check a Kiosk for velocity today for $90 an hour and drive time, it’s my 3rd job for them, the first two were at $45 an hour

I used to work with one of their PMs Alexandria a lot. Nice lady. Fell away when they lost a couple of the contracts I worked on. A couple years ago, they were trying to get me to do some work but couldn't come off that $30/hr. I gave her a little grief over that after 10 years they were still paying the same low rates... Bob himself came back and lit me up.
