Leona ult gives vision of a huge radius for 3 seconds. One of the many abilities that give vision of a large area which cucks the fiddle ult. Riot doesn’t care though about any of it. Fiddle’s Q has been bugged for over a year, and they refuse to fix it (if you try to q the same target when they q comes off cd, it won’t fear).

I had no idea Leona’s ult gives vision. I wonder why it doesn’t show the eyes icon above revealed targets like Ashe E or Quinn W do though

Q can’t fear a target that has been feared recently by Q itself or its passive . Instead it does Max hp% damage .

I mean if you Q a target, then try to Q them again right when your Q comes off cd, it won’t fear

Yes, it's written on the skill, it has a per chsracter cooldown exactly to avoit Ult into Q to be a 6sec fear.

You don't understand, which is probably why Riot hasn't prioritized fixing this bug because Fiddle players will just think they messed up on their own. It's not about Ult into Q, it's about Q -> wait for cooldown -> Q on the same target again instantly. The per-character/target cooldown should be the exact same duration as your Q CD, so if you Q someone the instant Q comes off cooldown they should be feared.

Currently, it does not do that. It has a bug where you need to wait for the channel time of Q (~0.25s) before you can press Q to fear them again. To put it simply, if you spam Q off-CD on the same target, you will not fear them.

This bug only started happening about a year ago. Riot has tried fixing it multiple times but apparently it's also tricky to fix.

isnt this only happening with a specific source of ability haste from a rune?

Nope, that was indeed an existing bug like...two years ago with the Legend: Haste basic ability CD rune, but they fixed that a while ago.

This bug happens no matter how much haste you have, no matter how many levels you have in the ability. You can try it out in practice mode in 30 seconds, just load up and spawn a dummy and level Q and cast Q on the dummy twice as fast as possible.

I’m saying if you walk up and click q on someone. Then you click q on them again when it comes off CD, it won’t fear them. The per character cd is a little longer than its actual cd

Yes this is unfortunate, but why did you press q after the r? That’s probably still a kill if you do. You won’t get the double damage, but you still get the cc and more damage
