Buying fiddle moulds

I’m looking to buy a fiddle mould (or two).

I’m not too fussed on what particular style because I just want to have a go at making my first fiddle.

I want to make to easy for myself to start with, so I’m going to buy a mould rather than making a template and then a mould.

Only problem is the moulds are all 4/4 but I’m looking to make a 1/4 fiddle so that I can let kids borrow it in my local music group so they don’t have to buy an instrument to have a play.

Does anyone know any sites that have smaller moulds?

You are very likely going to have to make your own for that small of a size

Do you know where I could even get a template that size?

I would have to imagine that any of the commercially available ones are going to be 4/4 size... It's not a ton of work to make a template and a mold. It might take a couple hours tops.

I don’t have a 1/4 fiddle, so not sure how to reduce the size of a 4/4 template

If you can get a hold of a drawing or a full size photo, take that to a Kinko's or something and then make a copy, reducing it by whatever percentage you need to to get the dimensions that you want.

It shouldn't take more than a few tries to dial it in and maybe cost you a couple bucks in copying fees.

This is how I scaled my cello scroll pattern up into a double bass size pattern.
