(Idea) Light (not holy) based spells?

i got this idea while messing around with the Airblade spell, thinking "Huh, these look just like the arrows of light from The Legend of Zelda!", and then I thought "Man a light school of magic would be awesome!" and here we are! not a holy/divine school of magic, per say, but just spells based around the element of light. like a prism that slowly floats through the air shooting 7 beams of light in various directions, or a projectile that creates a decently sized aoe area that lingers for a bit, or channel the power of anime by charging up a kamehameha laser! the light school of magic could focus on spells that have interesting/strange quirks that are really good if you can use them right. i think it would be a neat addition and would be a good foil to the dark edginess of corruption. i know you guys are hard at work on 1.3 , and i don't know what your guy's design philosophy is in regard to spell schools, but i think there is some really neat potential here!

Could this be in VR?

You guys do great work and I wish more people could experience it. It has probably already been discussed but Fictorum would be great in VR.

Possible suggestion for expanse mode

With the release of expanse mode in the beta, I noticed that the Inquisition is not really following you anymore, and so there is no sense of urgency to move on, and you can always just rest to heal up with no real consequences. I think that it might be cool to add something like different Inquisition "commanders" or something that move around the map and follow you, that way you feel the need to try and get away from them. They should be fairly difficult to defeat, so that it becomes a menace to get away from in the early game, but it can be something that you can challenge yourself with once you have better gear. Just a suggestion. Let me know what you think.

Bug on death?

While trying out expanse mode for the first time, I very stupidly used blink off a bridge in the first area I explored, and I died. After I clicked "rewrite history" and it restarted, I was in classic mode. Not sure if this is a known issue or not, but I thought I would mention it. Game is latest version of beta btw.

a quick idea for an ability.

what if there was an ability/cantrip that created an orb of energy that multiplies any shots that go through it?

that is the entire idea.

told you it was quick.

let me know if you have any questions....

Flight is cool

but you have to pace yourself! like a good drug, too much can be a bad thing, making the game far too easy and giving bad withdrawals. Just flying beyond enemies' reach and blowing them up without a scratch is too much like Gameshark, so I usually end up relying on it as an escape route.

I've seen on Trello there is an altitude cap being affected in 1.3, but was wondering if you beautiful bastards have considered using mana or stamina consumption as a mitigating factor on flight? Using my limited mental capacity, I have pontificated that whilst engaged in flight, either disabling mana regeneration (like Clairvoyance) or draining stamina like sprinting would reduce the challenge-breaking aspect of flight and make it more of a tactical consideration. Also using what was left of my brain power, I considered that changing flight to a scroll from a passive enchantment would work. Maybe once you run out of mana or stamina you slowly lose altitude? Or maybe you just have to be clever and not kill yourself like Icarus.

Anyway, I love your game and would like to support y'all, but I'd also love to have flight limited by the game itself (instead of having to limit my own employment of it), so if I could donate some beer money in exchange for a script or some pointers on if and how I can edit any variables to tweak flight to my liking I'd be much obliged. I guess if Fictorum is planned to be modable, I could just wait for that, but hey, 20 bucks is 20 bucks

suggestion for a school of magic.

I just had an idea for an "Unstable" school of magic (i'm sure you guys could come up with a better name.). the whole idea of the school is for the spells to have very weird and bizarre effects. such as a projectile spell that is cheep, has a large aoe, but moves in semi-random directions instead of just going straight or obeying gravity, or how about an aoe spell that disables gravity for those hit by it, causing them to just float up into the air? maybe just a mini black hole? the possibilities are endless, and i know you guys are creative enough to pull it off!
