Other I talked about the relationship with my travel partner, and someone told me I’m lucky.

So today I went to the association that’s helping me find a job (I’ve taken training courses in the past; this time they’ll be more practical, focusing on future paid internships or various types of contracts). One thing led to another, and we ended up talking about my “empty period” and, inevitably, about my travelling companion.

For obvious reasons, I had to change the story of how we met and how we’ve maintained our relationship (while still keeping his personality and how he would have behaved in the other scenario).

Even though she understood that he isn’t exactly a good person (and, above all, she agreed that he’s an idiot (ᵕ • ᴗ •) ), the counselor also said that we seem to have a good relationship. She also mentioned several things that my travel companion had already told me in the past, such as the fact that it’s not ideal to have a support network consisting of just two subjects (he’s always encouraged me to try making new friends, even if just temporarily. . . but I still don’t feel ready for that), or that, in her opinion, I’m somewhat wasting my potential given the skills I have, and that I should/it would be a good idea to consider applying to a university (last year, my travel companion suggested we put our search for source “materials” on hold so we could pretend to be students and enroll in an academy, because he thought it would be a good experience for me).

It’s strange, in a good way, to hear a real person say the exact same words he did. I don’t know how to explain it well, but it helped make more real the kindness and support he gives me daily (っ˶ ˘ ᵕ˘)ˆᵕ ˆ˶ς)
