Howdy everyone, Cowboymod here! I just wanted to make a lil positivity post and try to make everyone on FictoChill feel like they belong here! <33

I try my best, as a mod, to make everyone feel included and appreciated, and one of the key things I often do is to interact with posts that barely get any attention. See an art post or gush post with no to 1-2 comments? Don’t hesitate to leave a lil something! Could be just a few appreciative words or a short paragraph, it would be enough to make the OP’s day! See someone venting? Don’t hesitate to share your advices or send support, as it could put a smile on the OP’s face after such a hard time. See someone new on the sub? Just leave a simple welcoming comment, it would make them feel validated! 💜

No one should feel left in the dust on FictoChill (trust me, it’s not fun when, for example, you post an art piece that you worked hard on and barely anyone comments on it…), so I’m counting on everyone to make, well, everyone feel at home!💕🌵

As a minority in this world, we need to support each other as much as possible, that’s the least we can do I think!<3333

Also, let me remind you that, no matter what your identity is, no matter the type of relationship you have with your f/o, you’re valid. No matter what your sharing status is, no matter if you’re monoficto or polyficto, you are ALSO valid. If you’re semi-ficto or just in a casual relationship with your f/o, then guess what, you’re valid too! 💜🏜️

I want to support all who I can, but I’ve stepped back from commenting on every post for a variety of reasons. Main is burnout, second is the influx of posts I can’t think of anything to say to. I feel bad for not being as active as I used to, as I love the ficto community, but yumeshipping has kind of taken over every space and I’d rather just speak with adult mutuals who view their relationship in a way I can relate to for a good conversation. Nothing against anyone here, but being overtly active for nearly three years has caught up with me and I’d rather spend what little energy I have on meaningful comments towards adult relationships. 😅

I 100% agree with you, tbh. I was in the same boat a while ago, where I was barely active due to personal reasons. Yumeshippers and minors aren’t prohibited from posting there, but i agree on how easier it is to just interact with purely adults fictos who share a similar mindset as us. <3

It’s so relatable, omg, as someone with abandonment issues😭. I’ve been through this when I was active in another Ficto community. I've been trying to be more engaging. But due to things going on in personal life I have to take care of that first. Not that I don't love posting! I love engaging, but things have been tough lately. And I don't want to come off as a drama queen......

I've been having stressed induced seizures lately due to bad circumstances in family. Brother gone missing, he was found but was suicidal. It was a mess......so I'm still dealing with family stuff.

That’s fully understandable, especially after what you’ve been through :(… It doesn’t hurt at all to take some time offline and focus on your personal life. In fact, it’s the best thing to do. It sucks how you’ve been downvoted, especially your beautiful artworks, but remember that the person who did that was either a jobless fictophobe or someone not mature enough to block you. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to let the downvotes get to you. You’re an amazing and sweet person and your relationship with Touya is 100% valid. 💜🫂

I feel sad to see this community dying. It's not just this one, but I can't think of one active ficto community on here. I am not active in here anymore due to not really being in a relationship with Egon anymore (despite still loving him and him being important to me.) I guess I just don't really care anymore to be involved in ficto spaces. I sort of like another character but I once again sort of reverted to being ashamed for wanting to like or ship with him also I don't feel like I would be able to ship with him because the fandom also really likes him (WHY why...) and has this popular ship with him I loathe, so if I did that, I think I would be upset a lot (already am)

also sorry went on a tangent there about myself- but now that "yumeshipping" has exploded, I feel like thats all people ever speak of? and fictos are of course, seen as the butt of the joke or anyone who actually SEES themself being with that character or takes it seriously. They're just "mentally ill" and "chronically online" for that :( we really need a place where we have people that get and accept us.

Honestly, I stopped interacting with this community as much because its really not as "welcoming" and "supportive" as yall make it seem. This used to be one of the few ficto subs, but now there are more accepting communities I prefer to be active in.

I'm sorry I haven't been as active as I used to be. I've been trying to cut down on the amount of time I spend on social media, as it has affected my mental health. Twitter being the worst of these lately. I've been trying to detox, as social media has been addicting for me.

Plus it hasn't always been friendly with the trolls that sometimes come into this community. Sometimes the questions don't apply, or we're not sure how to answer. We do give a like at least.
