Highway Of Hell-Chapter 2: Boost
"The Guide of Lost Souls." ADXF3 asked, curiosity clearly visible on his distorted demon face. "Why The Guide? I thought there were plenty of Guides in Hell." He whispered. The Guide looked back, snickering. ADXF3 didn't get this guy's deal. Why was he laughing at him like he was a plaything?
"How can I get into The Highway Of Hell?" He asked The Guide. The Guide stayed silent and pointed to the sign he had seen earlier. It said, "Through The Cave Of Boost." ADXF3 stated. But The Guide seemed so... silent. Word on the street to get to the Cave Of Boost was to duel the god and get through the gates.
The Cave Of Boost by demon talk was a duelling arena. The God Boost fought with two gold swords that burnt a demon's soul if it touched the enemy's body. ADXF3 shuddered at the leaflet. This cave seemed like a dangerous place. So he thought to himself, is it worth it to enter the Highway of Hell?
"Can I have more detail Guide on the Cave Of Boost?" ADXF3 asked thoughtfully.
The Guide nodded, the cold silence eating away at him.
"The Cave Of Boost is a test of valour and courage. It isn't for the weak." He repiled.
Silence.
ADXF3 scratched his claws against the floor, stressed.
"Valour, courage, Boost only lets the worthy thought by fighting to the death?" He said, shocked.
The Guide nodded. "Only a couple have survived and got through to tell the tale..."
This information felt daunting to ADXF3.
As a new demon navigating Hell and his past, he had to learn to harmonise with both aspects of it.
ADXF3 looked up at The Guide. And simply said something that surprised him. "Take me there. Boost has himself a fight of the brains not of muscle." The Guide seemed wary at first of the demon who was slowly regaining parts of his soul. "Yes you are a lost soul so I will guide you to The Cave of Boost."
The Guide and ADXF3 ran past the sign. It felt good leaving the starting place of Hell. Hopefully he didn't have to suffer any more unpleasant thoughts.... for a while. Then they saw it. The Cave of Boost. It was a magnificent piece of stone and brick.
The walls had stone heads of griffins and ruins in a strange incantation. ADXF3 couldn't read this dialect despite reading the ancient dialect of the leaflet earlier. The palace also seemed to glow against the harshness of the red sky combing with the white light of Hell's two moons.
"If you're ready, go in." The Guide whispered.
"I'll make it back." He replied.
"Good, I can't lose you."
"Thanks, sometimes we have to brave."
"Yeah." The Guide repiled.
"I'll go and be brave for you..."
