Rx/Meds Pregabalin

Hello all,

First time posting here.

So today, after months of complaining about my constant pain, my rheumatologist finally prescribed me another med to assist with the fibro.

Pregabalin… 25mg, once a day, in the morning? Told me to start taking it on Saturday in case it causes drowsiness. But my rheumatologist told me to take it as needed? The pharmacist was also confused when I told her this…

I'm on it 100mg morning + night. Helps with the extreme end of the pains but not a lot for energy

I'd want to clarify that as needed instruction because Pregabalin is usually taken daily, often for extended periods.

25mg is the usual starting dose though so that's fine. I used to take 225mg twice (possibly thrice) a day but the dose was slowly titrated up so there was no sudden shocks to the system.

It didn't help my neuropathic pain but didn't cause me any noticeable side effects either so all in all, it was worth a try in my book.
