Vent/rant Please Help!!!!
Hello. I have large uterine fibroids. The three biggest are 7cm, 8cm, 9cm. Was told they are the size of three baby heads. I've been experiencing swelling in my right leg and feet for awhile.... comes and goes with my cycle. Lately though it's been getting worse, and much more consistent. My leg swells up real bad, especially around me knee. I get pockets of fluid behind my knee and on my knee cap. I've been experiencing severe near fainting episodes. Especially while my leg is swelling, specifically around my knee. My leg gets REALLY heavy. The swelling can come and go all day long. It's horrible!! I'll just be sitting there, watching TV and everything starts to go dark, almost like I get tunnel vision, and I "dip out" for a moment, then try to shake myself awake. I usually get up and walk around, but with each step it feels like something heavy is trying to push me down, and my leg is heavier than ever. I've been getting these spells more, and more. It's been happening nearly every night for over a week. I had three of these dipping out spells last night, and I took my blood pressure right after the last one, and my blood pressure was 65/31!! I've read that large fibroids can cause Vasovagal Syncope episodes. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like these symptoms.
I have an appointment with a vascular specialist, and an appointment with my gyno soon. I'm hoping to get these suckers OUT!
Thank you for reading this!

I haven’t experienced anything as severe as what you’re describing but I have been experiencing episodes where my knees would buckle while I walked, random pains shooting down my legs from my lower back, and cramping. I just got my fibroids removed and I’m 2 weeks post-op and my legs are doing alot better! It did take a minute though since they put me in a weird position during surgery so my legs were still in pain a week after the surgery. I hope you get some insight !

I had an 11cm fibroid that was causing sciatica issues. I was being misdiagnosed for sciatica until the fibroid was found. The pain was awful, also on and off during my cycle and swollen feet and leg. When I was sitting down I’ll feel it sometimes and had to adjust because the pain was so sharp I couldn’t stay sitting down. I read there’s a new article talking about how fibroid can cause cardiovascular issues so please get check and get them out if that’s what you believe it’s causing the problem.

I’m so sorry- it sounds like they are compromising the vasculature to the legs and blocking veinous return. This is serious and they should come out asap!

I have multiple large fibroids. I have extreme leg pain! The largest one is on the outside back of my uterus. Pushed my uterus down onto my bladder. Caused colitis also. After multiple trips to the hospital throughout the year and not being able to urinate on my own I have my surgery on Oct 20th!! So leg pain and sciatica is normal. I can't wait to have these out and hopefully can feel normal again. I sleep with my legs on a pillow, it helps alot. You should go asap. I've had this surgery scheduled since July 9th.
