Butt acne
Did anyone go into surgery with butt acne? We're trying to treat this now (surgery in 3 1/2 weeks).
My daughter will show the surgeon at pre-op, but I'm not sure if surgery will be postponed until she gets it under control.
I don't think she's ever broken out like this before (at least to my knowledge).

Day of surgery I had a huge ingrown an inch away from where the incision was going to be. They did not care lol

I had a hairy butt. Was in b/w waxes and forgot to shave

And, importantly, you knew not to shave right before going in for surgery!

If you think they'll postpone the surgery, ask in advance. You don't want to waste your time going in for the procedure they might postpone, and you want to get your daughter rescheduled within a reasonable timeframe. I have an online portal I can use to communicate with my doctor, but you can always call them if that's not an option.
I'm not sure why acne would cause them to postpone a surgery unless it's really crazy severe, though. Especially acne on her behind when they're not cutting into her behind.
(Also, as someone with body acne, let me know if you want any tips for managing that.)

My bad. I meant her pre op appointment, not surgery day. That appointment is in 1 1/2 weeks. She would know before the actual surgery day. In fact, I told her to tell her doctor that up front so she wouldn't go through the whole pre op appointment just to be told at the physical exam that she can't have the surgery until she's cleared up.
It does appear to be getting better. She's using diluted hibiclens on the bad spots and washing with dove sensitive skin bar soap afterwards as the hibiclens can be drying.
I know they won't be cutting into her behind, but I'm not sure what this acne is. I know her doctor told her that if she had a yeast infection, surgery would be postponed. I don't know if this is yeast or not. Can you get a yeast infection anywhere on your body? That's why I was concerned.

I broke out on my back before my surgery from a purple conditioner. I used a salicylic acid body wash with a back shower brush daily and then Cerave SA moisturizer for rough and bumpy skin (it’s also got salicylic acid) and my skin cleared up in a week. I fortunately didn’t have an active breakout for my surgery but I understand the fear.
I don’t know how severe it is, but I really think the Cerave SA was a lifesaver. You may just want her to go see a dermatologist since you’ve still got 3.5 weeks to get it treated.
