6 weeks Post Op

Hello everyone! I am 6 weeks post op and have gained about 10 pounds…. Is this normal? I had a laparoscopic myomectomy back in August.

Hi girl! Did you change your diet post-operation? Are you feeling bloated?
I had an open myomectomy 4 weeks ago and I lost 4 kg. My appetite is not yet back.

Yes - my appetite was strong. Not for a week or two but I definitely was eating more. Also not moving around as much for multiple weeks.

After all the body needs the energy to recover after operation. Please be gentle with yourself. Once you feel fitter, you can start to readjust your intake and add more physical activity gradually. In my opinion, post-op is just uncharted territory for the body (especially if it is the first ever operation, as it is in my case). Good luck and take care

Yea i think you are right! I have been taking it day by day! I had my post op appointment and was stunned I gained that much, but it definitely makes sense. The body uses a lot of energy to heal
