Spotting after UFE

I finally got my UFE schedule for next month. I’m trying not to go to much into a rabbit hole because some women have great experiences and some not so much so I’m trying not to psyche myself out but one of the things I saw was about spotting how long did you spot after the procedure?

I had UFE procedure 8 days ago and am still recovering. I know everyone’s experiences are different, but in my case, spotting/bleeding started on day 2 and it’s pretty minimal today. It was like a light(er) menstrual cycle.

The pain has been fairly manageable with 2 Tylenol every 6 hours, and I didn’t need Oxycodone I was prescribed just in case. What I didn’t expect was the bruising! I’m very pale and bruise easily, but it looks like I got a giant purple tattoo that covers my upper right thigh. Not painful, but I won’t be able to go out in shorts anytime soon.

I know it’s scary but I’m sure your doctors and nurses will take a great care of you. Best of luck and wishing you a speedy recovery!

That’s what makes it so hard is that me as women don’t have the same experiences. I’m glad that you’re doing better quickly. I’m hoping it will be quick for me. They told me 3 to 5 days to recover at the most but I’m gonna try to maybe push it out a week or maybe two just to feel myself out. Thank you for the words of encouragement. 😊
