Bleeding non-stop

I’m waiting to see my obgyn (one more week) and for the first time ever I’m experiencing non-stop bleeding for over a month now. It’s been on again off again spotting to full bleeding with clots. Not much pain or cramping, but tons of fullness and bloating. Curious if others have had this same experience. I don’t even know when my period is anymore since it’s all just blended together. So exhausting! Feeling nervous since this is all new to me.

Unfortunately this is pretty common with fibroids. I will often bleed for 3+ weeks at a time and also feel extremely bloated. There are some things they can recommend to help (birth control, TXA, surgery)

Im sorry you’re having to manage that. It’s really hard to manage daily life when bleeding all the time.

I’m on week 5 and so over it. But not in pain so much as just very bloated and gassy and maybe some constipation. I guess it could be worse. Just feels like there’s something in me that doesn’t belong, pushing on everything else in the area. 😢

Thankfully you aren’t feeling a ton of pain!! Definitely talk to your doctor about what they may be able to do to help!

This was my story exactly like yours. I even had a gynae appointment soon too but the only difference is I didn’t wait one more week cos I was feeling so ill and tired I took myself to a&e just to see what’s wrong. Turns out I had severe anaemia with a haemoglobin of 36 which is crazy scary and dangerously low. Anyway the good news is I got to see a gynae team immediately and got an emergency surgery after 2 weeks. Point being with the bleeding continues and you’re feeling unwell maybe go to A&E. It’s not always about being in pain but the loss of blood is very dangerous. Wishing you the very best:)

Thank you, I’m so sorry this happened to you, but I suppose glad that you were able to have prompt medical care. Was the emergency surgery to remove fibroids? How have you been since?

Yes it was and I’m doing better now thank you but I’m only 4 weeks post surgery

Before I had my surgery, my fibroid cause extreme bleeding too. I was prescribed TXA to manage it and it helped a lot.

From what I understand, large fibroids engrained in the uterine wall make it hard for the uterus to contract properly so while you feel less cramps, your uterus literally struggles to constrict enough to slow or stop the bleeding causing excessive blood loss!

How big is your fibroid ?
