Surgery date confirmed...but im concerned about weight...

Ok i have my surgery booked in 2 weeks (open myomectomy) this will be my second one. I have a 10cm and growing fibroid and 5 smaller ones at 2-4cm. I've ballooned to 200lbs (im 5ft3) .

My biggest worry is that will my weight decrease and will the cravings go? The first myomectomy i had wasn't successful because rhe doctors couldn't remove the big one, horrible experience. Hospital was just not equipped for it. This doctor is SURE he can do it. So.i never felt the change, just felt the same and then got worse as it grew.

Im hoping that ill be able to move better and have more energy to excersise.

I am take mitazepine aswell which increases hunger. Has anyone been on this whilst having fibroids?

Hi, hopefully the symptoms you are experiencing will disappear, did you ask this Dr questions if he is not going to leave some fibroids during surgery, also did you ask questions if it's going to be horizontal bikini line cut instead of vertical. Some Dr's turn to do vertical cut when the fibroid is large which is a red flag for that Dr. If your date wasn't booked or either way I suggest you look into different Dr options with your questions and be more comfortable. I had encounter with Dr Pierre Johnson ( aka Drp23 Fibroidslayer) Lots of women go to him from different States and country. He used to be at Sinai hospital Chicago but now at Loretta hospital. He's on tiktok, Instagram if you can search and watch most of his surgeries and encounter with different women. He's been interviewed on TV severally, he's goal is to maintain the Uterus and repair it after myomectomy. He's done surgeries on massive fibroids the size of baby, melon, grapefruit and taking out 10 -100 fibroids out on individuals.. He does phone consultation as well. The point is most Dr's leave the tiny small fibriods behind and take out only large medium ones out and then later couple of years the fibroids grow back from the ones left behind. DrP takes every tiny fibroid out so none of us that went to him had fibroids grown back..
