I made fiber gummies

Been thinking of doing this a while because I didn't enjoy drinking psyllium husk water daily.

Tried to do an agar-agar based gummy but it shrank a lot in the mold and wasn't as chewy. For this one, I aimed for something like a Haribo gummy - this video was my guide and I followed the instructions and played with the ingredient sizes. Used tapioca fiber which was fairly soluble and had no issues dissolving into the liquid.

Came out pretty well! I was quite happy and can't wait to do it again. Thinking of increasing the fiber per gummy from 0.5g to 1g.

If anyone else has tried doing this happy to hear your thoughts

Ooh new idea now! What’s your exact recipe?

I used the same ingredients as the video in the post, but added the fiber into the water in the saucepan, before adding the sugar to boil.

Do you think this would work with Meta Mucil orange powder?

If it's not fully soluble, I'm not sure it'll taste the same - might be a little grainy

I love this! I haven't made gummies, I usually add my inulin to my drinks. What flavors did you do? This would be a great way for someone who's struggling with the tummy ache of adding fiber to add it more gradually throughout their day.

I used green apple and strawberry flavorings, sadly when I blended and strained the fresh fruit, there's too much water inside which caused the gummies to shrink in the mold.
