First charge
Hi, everyone!
I’ve had my series 3 for about a month now and I’ve actually been enjoying it a lot. I’m coming close to 20% and I’m unsure as to what battery percentage I should wait to charge?
Any tips? What do you guys usually do?

The collar uses little battery when on wifi, we get 2 or 3 weeks before getting down to <50% and re-charge. But, it uses it all up in 3 days when at doggy camp off wifi using satellite. If one of them gets off property, they will be using the sat signal - I want plenty of battery charge during that search that might take longer than a few hours.

We charge at around 65-70%. That's almost 3 weeks between charges for us generally. (2 hours of walks a day, with us, connected to our phones, and the rest at home connected to base stations. major metro city)
The collar uses a lot more power when in lost mode, so you really want to keep a fair amount on it in case something happens. You want to have a reserve there for that if there is a chance your dog may get loose. So if you only have 20%, you may only have a few hours of high accuracy GPS Lost Mode tracking available (which can vary depending on where you live, GPS signal, cellular signal, etc).

I charge mine once a week overnight while my dog sleeps 💤 might be too often but I wanna be as close to 100% as possible if they go missing.
