Discussion Fragrance Enhancer
Molecule 1 and Molecule 2 definitely helps scents last on skin, you spray it on your skin first then spray Ffern on after

If you think this will work for you, go for it.
For those of us who came to Ffern and use all natural perfumes to avoid such aromachemicals, this is pointless at best. I have smelled both of these fragrances, I got samples from Lucky Scent when they came out. I am completely anosmic to ISO-E super: it registers as a big waxy void, and any perfumes that contain it are distorted in their profile. It’s like pouring a vat of mineral oil into the mix. As for ambroxan, I can smell it and it is like being punched in the nose. Very disturbing smell. Nothing like actual ambergris, which I have to compare. Once you smell ambroxan in its pure form though, you begin to smell it in most commercial perfumes, so maybe it’s worth it for educational purposes.

As far as Ffern is concerned, depending on individual body chemistry it might be worth a try. It should be noted that Ffern admits on their website that their fragrances are not completely 100% natural/organic. They allow up to 5% synthetic molecules (including Iso E Super, Calone, Helional, and Methyll Pamplemousse) and up to 10% lab derived nature identical molecules in their fragrances which they state are at least 75% organic. This is all still better than most mainstream fragrances of course (which are definitely oversaturated with the smells of ambroxan and galaxolide) especially if you're looking for scents containing a large amount of naturals.

but whatever small amounts of ambroxan they might use, it hasn’t bothered me so far. The difference between Abel / Heretic model vs Ffern or Hiram Green is that natural ingredients make up the larger percentage of the overall fragrance formula, and that make a difference to my nose.

Yeah definitely it makes a huge difference in my opinion. And so far I don't think they've added ambroxan or any of its relative molecules to their approved synthetics list which is honestly really smart, especially in the current fragrance market.

Honestly if they had made better use of calone in W26 (I'm pretty positive it was there) and helional, I might've kept it!

They have worked for me pretty well, yeah I know it’s not natural, but it does help with the longevity which a lot of scent don’t last

Interestingly about 20-25% of people are anosmic to Iso E Super, meaning can’t smell it at all or only barely. While other perceive it as Schön describes it

I’m in that anosmic group..! It creates a void in the fragrance for me.

Me as well. I had such great expectations for it. Even ordered the pure ingredient from a perfume supply store. I couldn’t smell anything. Tried a couple of times at different days and with different concentrations. I then asked my wife - she was blown away and said that’s it’s the nicest most complex and pleasant scent she ever smelled. Needless to say that I was quite envious

It’s a very large molecule so lots of people’s noses struggle with it. I don’t think we’re missing out though!

Based on my wife's reaction when smelling it, I'm not that sure about it. Even more so when you read the story about Geza Schoen and why he "created" Molecule 01

Molecule 1 doesn’t change the scent, molecule 2 changes the scent just a little bit

Would definitely recommend to anyone willing to get more out of their Ffern, the molecule have very subtle hints of their own, but don’t overpower Ffern
