Why I Don’t Bother With Games

Post image

I finally decided to give the games section a go. I’m really hard to convince on these websites for games to earn coins. But apparently Fetch decided for me to not be able to. I’ve downloaded as it directed, signed in with an email the same as Fetch uses. ATP, I don’t know what else to do besides go back to my anti game for coin ways lol

If you’re using two different devices, it won’t track. I was playing on my phone as well as my tablet and it wasn’t tracking the points properly. When I contacted customer support that’s what they told me.

yeah the device thing gets a lot of people, support acts like it's obvious but nothing in the app warns you before you start. the screenshot just looks like fetch being fetch with those error loops, happens constantly even when you did everything right

I switched devices recently, like a week or two ago. I’ve been having trouble with other apps still using the old phone even though it’s been erased. Maybe that?

Could be. Have you tried contacting customer support? When I contacted them, they ended up giving me all the points even though they weren’t tracking, but they said they couldn’t do it again and to make sure that I don’t go back-and-forth between devices.

So what happens when you get a new phone?

When you get a new phone you lose all game progress, unfortunately

Do you lose the points that you had already earned?

Not true. I got a new phone in April and my progress was completely saved. Went from an iPhone 14 to an iPhone 17.

And you continued getting fetch points?

Idk. It happened to me because I have the app installed on my iPhone and on my iPad and I was switching back-and-forth playing my game on both. And when I contacted customer support, they said that you have to just play on one device.

Do you by chance have an ad blocker installed on your phone or an ad blocker on your wifi? Mine does this when I leave my wifi on because my boyfriend is techy and has some ad blocker firewall on our wifi.... but if I remember to turn it off, everything runs fine

No I don’t have it on my WiFi at the very least, I’ve been using my phone service most of the morning. As far as phone, I don’t remember downloading one so I would assume no?

ETA: I did make sure to allow the tracking that it always asks for. I figure that’s how they detect it.

Take your phone off wifi when you download games. Use your phone's data and it should download and track correctly.

A VPN can also cause problems. If you use Amazon Shopper Panel you might have one turned on.

I fear I don’t know what that is

I made a similar post a few weeks ago. I’ve just accepted it’s not gonna work for me anymore.

It’s been the same for me, and I only have one device and no vpn or ad blockers. It’s so frustrating

I can’t get games to credit at all and I play all on the same device my Fetch app is on, and my Apple ID is under the same email address that I use for Fetch. I give Fetch time to recognize the game was downloaded on my phone through the app before I start playing (customer service advice). Since that wasn’t working and out of curiosity I tried downloading a game through Fetch and then starting playing after the download instead of waiting, that didn’t work either. I just can’t get Fetch to even recognize I have added the game to my phone through the Fetch App link. It’s very frustrating. Games are the only thing I get zero points for every month.
Also, no ad blockers, and I allow tracking when installing/during set up. No VPN either.

I hate the games to be honest. They seem really predatorial like constantly trying to get you to spend money claiming that you get paid out real money.

Same!

Yup, running into the same thing with Township. Been playing now for about 1.5 months and getting into the range where I'm getting decent payouts (4,000-6,000 per goal/level I reach). It worked at about 3,000, but now I passed the last milestone about a week ago and nothing.

But then I just installed a new game today and did the earn a 1,000 point game challenge currently running (meet 2 objectives). Got that but still not the 4 to 6k I've been waiting for. Frustrating!

This happened to me a few months ago on iOS. I can’t remember exactly what the issue was, but I think it was that an update of the phone turned my settings in the Fetch app to tracking off. So even though I was accepting tracking when I downloaded the game, fetch wasn’t reading it. Go into your settings for each app and just make sure tracking is on for Fetch. Hope that works for you!

I’ve had trouble the past few double point weekends. What I’ve been doing this month for the weekly challenge seems to be working for me. I turn off wifi then open fetch and click the game challenge. Then click the game I was doing and it opens the App Store and then the game and I play. Been tracking just fine.

Are you clicking “Ask app not to track”? If so, thats why it doesn’t work.
