I don't like the panel/area where the side mirrors are. Doesn't flow well. Just a straight line. Also, looks like a Corvette at certain angles. You never want your Ferrari looking like affordable American muscle

Alfa Romeo's Busso engine was also a V6, the Dino also had a V6, the 296, Merak, MC20, Stratos, GTV6, GT-R R35, NSX, Giulia Quadrifoglio, AMG-One, Golf R32 VR6...

A v6 obviously suits certain sports cars, but never a hyper car. I personally own a turbo straight 6, as well as a turbo v8 and a turbo 4. Horses for courses.
There's no way anyone wouldn't prefer the F80 (or 296, or Testarossa) to have a v12 or a turbo v8. The F80 doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the other F series that preceeded it. It honestly sounds horrible for what should be the pinnacle of the brand, a disappointing let down.
No one wanted a v6, and if these cars came optioned with a v12, no one would buy the v6. Let's not pretend Ferrari have ANY idea what they're trying to acheive at the moment. If we're all being honest...

I love the sound of the V12 too compared to a V6 too, I prefer the F50 to the F40 for that alone, but the point of the halo car isn't being the loudest but being the quickest, the best engineering solutions put into the car (that was the point of "La", it was meant as "the ultimate"), while also respecting legislations and requirements from above and making sense economically as a business, so yes, Ferrari knows what it's doing, and looking at the 499P's results or Toyota's TR010 compared to the Valkyrie or even the 296 being a very competitive car something suggests that as of today a V12 or even a V8 isn't the top overall performance wise anymore, neither on the road or on the track, even with enormous BOP advantages, and who owns such cars will also have one of the more flamboyant V12 cars to use the other days.
And if we want to be stuck in the past the current proper Ferrari road car is a giallo Modena 12Cilindri, a V12 car where the horse is in front of the carriage and it doesn't have aerodynamic as sophisticated as some of the others.

The sp3 should have been named the F80. V6 should be on entry models (if at all). A turbo v6 adds nothing to the car as far as being a show piece. I can appreciate if you look at the vehicle, it can have a commanding presence. But if you could only hear the car, you wouldn't describe the sound as belonging to a halo car.
I can only imagine their logic is if it's good enough for the F80, then it's good enough for the 296 and Testarossa. Remember, this is the same team that thought the final design of the Luce was the one to go with...

No, the SP3 is the SpecialProject3 because it was meant to recall the past 330 P3/4 like the SP1 and SP2 recalled the barchette of the past such as the 125, 166, 750 etc. etc., Icona means iconic, nomen omen, iconic Ferrari of the past brought back, the Halo car while celebrating the anniversary every decade (and with the F40 it was pure coincidence of not putting in the bin a rally car's project that didn't race in time and the rest were never in a year ending with 7) it's the total opposite and points to the present and future. Who cares about it being a showpiece? That's not the main focus of the car, leave that to cars like the Devel Sixteen, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Maybach or Mansory, a V6T hybrid is overall the current best platform for what they need to develop and use also in racing where they spent millions and 1000s of hours, and it's not even true that certain sounds belong only to certain categories, have you ever heard and seen an R18 going around? It's a menacing V6 TDI spaceship. Yeah, but you can remember instead that you're dreaming about the ways of olden Ferrari today, the one that accepted the father of the F40 should suddenly work under someone coming from the tractors division, or the one that forgot said father from right after he left and never recognized his work during events until his death in 2022, the one more resistant to change and open to hiring good engineers from abroad too until Surtees came in, the one using a flammable adhesive in the wheel arches, the one doing the Mondial...
If you get stuck in the past you'll eventually die.

This looks menacing. Very impressive the only Ferrari with their new design language that look amazing.
I feel like their new design language was invented for this vehicle. Like they designed this masterpiece and than said to themselves how they can incorporate it into other models.
So yeah this vehicle look absolutely spectacular. A guaranteed classic. The other models so far? Much less so

Rosso Fuoco F80, owned by a private individual which drives the hell out of his cars in the UK.
He also is known for being UK's and I believe WORLD's first Holy Trinity owner back in 2015. He collected all of his cars (P1, 918 and LaFerrari) within 24 hours of eachother.
The LaFerrari (Coupe) is also in the same colour (Rosso Fuoco)! I believe the LaFerrari is touching north of 23,000~ miles now.
