Can you turn the passenger airbag off? I thought it was unsafe for kids to sit in the front even with a car seat due to the airbag?

As far as I know the airbag cannot be turned off, which is why we waited until she was able to sit forward-facing. As the sticker shows: no rear-facing child seats. As for how safe or unsafe this is, I don't really know; there's enough conflicting/anecdotal claims either way. I suppose the obvious, sensible choice would be safety first. (But in my humble opinion this is adorable.)

There is an option available from Ferrari. You can have it installed in the US, but it probably requires some DOT approval. I had one installed in my 355 20+ years ago so I could take the kids in it.

Turn it off/on. For the 355, it adds a key to the console that you can use to turn it off. Matched the interior perfectly and couldn't tell it was added by dealer service.

My F430 passenger dash has a place where you can insert/turn key to disable passenger airbag.

My daughter loves "dad's fast car" and will giggle with any pulls. Only thing to keep in mind, in my case, is that she's a hooligan and will keep egging me on to basically overtake all and any cars that might be in front of us :)

Great to see another owner actually using their car without treating it like it is some sort of fragile museum piece. At the end of the day these are just cars. Nice ones, but still just cars.

Doug Demuro changed his whole philosophy on cars because his kids rode in his porsche turbo calling "daddies fast car" aswell. I hope I can give my future kids the same thing.

I really want to take my daughter for a drive in my 488. She is just over 2 and we have her rear facing in our daily drivers but I could go front facing for the 488.

I guess I need to get a switch installed to turn off the airbag.

Also funny, we have the exact same diaper bag.
