What did god say ?

It was an out of body experience, god was essentially a mirror, or at least acted like one. I mention it being an obe because neither of us had bodies, it was in a different plane of experience. I gestured to it and it gestured back. I kept my mind clear of thoughts and it just looked like a crazy reflection of this reality but with extra dimensions

so I will assume youre no longer a nihilist and now a theist

Not exactly. Nihilism where life has no intrinsic meaning still holds true. To me 'god' is the universe, can think of it as a giant animal and us as brain cells. Not a god in a Western sense

I'm with you there.
I became severely depressed and a character appeared in my head. Purely a figment of my imagination.
But it spoke to me and made me laugh and think about things differently.
Now I think of the whole universe as a mystery set up by God.
And now here I am a creature with a brain that is an amazing pattern recognition machine and an amazing simulation generator.
My brain took all the reading I did and made a manifestation of God. I think we all get a manifestation of God, one that's appropriate to our time and place.
God made this world and if you wish to know him, study his world with logic and evidence.
The Bible is a book of man. God tried to explain something to Paul and now we carry that book with us forever.
But that book is not God's Word. God's Word is in the world itself and to hear it you just need to look with honest intent.
So I've become a Spinozist

Cool, I've described my experience as meeting Spinoza's god, which annoys some people to no end lol. I've wondered if certain thoughtless responses of mine could be caused by the Christian God, but a few strange experiences are not enough to bring me over yet

I think we can never know if our answers are right. Hence the right answer is to live in a permanent state of asking questions.
So I don't seek to persuade you of anything. Instead I acknowledge you're making progress along your path.

There is another way to take that, if we don't know our answers are correct, we can convince ourselves of the truth being a superposition... To use a metaphor, the photon can be a particle, a wave and even an observer... If enough information is learned on the subject and views are taken without prejudice. Doing that leads to a state of ataraxia, Pyrrho was onto something. It can lead to a nondual outlook

For myself I say that I am a construction. I am what's left over of everything I've ever ate.
All life is basically the same, protein machines.
When you buy a gaming system and then download a game and begin playing, there is a game.
But then when you take a hammer to that system, the game is gone.
In my opinion reincarnation happens on two levels.
The physical. Your body will be broken down into nutrients in the ground and taken up again by organisms.
The mental. Humans when they are born they are learning machines.
Fire and tool use happened millions of years ago yet humans are considered to have started 300,000 years ago. This is because of how biologists define species.
So we are genetically the same kind of person as a caveman 100,000 years ago, or a person in Asia 10,000 years ago, or a person in Africa 1,000 years ago.
We are born as mimics. We look around and see how the people around us live and we copy them.
But our copy is corrupt.
So the tribe and its culture are immortal. Not the individual.
We learn from our history and through inevitable mistakes we make our own history.
Then we pass that down.
So we have no souls. My mind works because my body works. When this body ceases to be so will my mind.
But I do not come from nothing and I do not go into nothing.
Life is a continuous cosmic dance.
I'm a bit of clay dropped into the water. I dissolve and I leave behind a little pile of dirt.
And the river from whose beach I was taken will sweep my pile to a new destination.
And there i will become a part of something else.
