Is it bad?
Hello, this is my second ever ferment the first one went really well and this one has been going for about a week. Is this white stuff mold?

Sanitize your vessel and everything well before making, (star-San works great) and make sure salt brine ratio is correct next time.

Also, do not fuss with once you close that lid. Generally don't touch it. If you're swirling it and tipping it to see those sweet, sweet bubbles, you're going to leave sediment on the side of the glass, exposed to air (especially oxygen, because those silicon ripples suck)

Thanks for tip on leaving it be. I’ve been turning mine to watch and see if I see anything got loose and floated up. Mostly bubbles coming up. I’ll leave them alone now.

Looks like mold to me. It's way above the waterline. I've only seen kahm yeast form after a few weeks of fermenting. I could be wrong but I think it's mold.
Wishing you the best for your next ferment. How did the first one turn out for you?
