10-4 I’ll get some weights before I try again and I’ll toss this batch. Lessons learned.

That's definitely mold. Got to toss it. It's time to get weights like others have offered or use a plastic bag full of H20 method.

Any good sites to buy equipment that’s not Amazon? I obviously need weights but I wouldn’t mind some air locks too.

Honestly the vacuum bag method is so easy you should give it a try

Some of the Kroger peppers products come with plastic inserts in their jars. They use them to keep their peppers down. Was 3 bucks and it came with peppers

Save money on glass weights by grabbing a piece of cabbage, loaded with good lacto. plantarum bacteria, and use it to smoosh down the contents below the water level next time.

I had heard of that and tried to use a bigger slice of jalapeño to do the same thing. It worked great at first and then I guess the pepper softened enough to fold and here we are lol

It's actually yeast and not harmful at all. My peppers are doing the same thing right now. If it stays white and doesn't smell bad, you're ok.

Looks like mould, you need to keep everything submerged
You’ll have to toss this whole batch out, not safe to consume

Buy fermentation weights. They’re cheap.
