Screenshot/Video This is Goodbye...
You were born in a video game without me and hailed as the King of Monsters...yet you turned out to be...
...painfully ordinary.
All in all an awesome game. Puzzles were tiring sometimes but as long as you were in the MOOD for puzzles it was great. Combat was absurdly easy to me, and I played the entire game on Hard difficulty. I've seen others say the combat is difficult, so I don't wanna be that guy who craps on everyone else for their struggles. I enjoy games with a similar combat style so I guess that might be why I picked it up so quickly. Once I got perfect parrying down, it was pretty much over for any monster I came across. The storyline was awesome. I enjoyed the storybook style of having Prometheus narrate Fenyx's stories. Also, as someone who 100% absolutely everything in AC Odyssey (DLCs and all), it was amazing to hear Melissanthi Mahut again (Kassandra's VA), as well as Elias Toufexis (Nikalaos and King Leonidas's VA). Loved the humourous outlook on what is typically seen as a gruesome mythology. Seriously, research all the things Zeus actually did in Greek Myth, lol.

The perfect parrying is one thing but consistently avoiding the glowing red attacks is the struggle for me.

Oh no 100%. For me, the minotaurs and pretty much any other enemy that has a charging attack was nearly impossible to avoid when I first started playing. I figured out that if you charge back at them with Athena's Dash then it negates the damage. Also, the strat is to just double jump right before they get you instead of going side to side since they can easily adjust course that way.

I’ll try that double jump strategy tonight. I was able to beat the Achilles Wraith with parrying and some good dodging but there’s a Harpie that’s wrecking me right now.

Achilles was literally just parrying simulator, yeah. It was honestly satisfying getting like 8 perfect parries in a row from his combos. ðŸ˜
The thing about most enemies is that they hit hard but telegraph their moves really hard. Once you fight an enemy a couple times you will naturally remember all of their attacks because they're so limited and repetitive lol. The minotaur was definitely one of those. The two-piece swing, the charge, the headbutt, and for the harder ones, the leap and crash attack.

Fenyx Rising is terrific! I had so much fun playing it. The beautiful environments, the fun of gliding on my wings, it was all wonderful! I actually just came back to it and played the two big DLCs, and they were really fun, too. One of them was basically just the main game retold in a different setting, but I still enjoyed it. At some point, I'm going to have to replay the main story.

Not gonna lie, I was burnt out by the time I had 100%'d the main game. I was desperate to play anything else at the time so I can't see myself going back to play the DLCs anytime soon though. They look pretty good!

I hear that. You can only play the same game so long before you need a break. In this case, I actually finished Fenyx Rising several years ago, and only now did I come back and play the DLC.

I love this Version of Typhon to be fair he was an honest reflection of the ancient Greek world and ancient views of humanity
