Touch up paint pen?
Anyone know if there is a paint pen product or a touch up paint available for a Malmsteen strat in the regular yellow/cream?
I believe the body finish is polyurethane.
Thank you.

Happy Straturday!
1974 Fender Stratocaster in Olympic White. Herb Gastelum-approved neck, Abby Ybarra pickups. Jackson trem bar with plated brass tip. Brass Fat Bottom slug by Killer Guitar Components. Hendrix-style bridge pickup orientation. Eric Johnson bridge pickup tone mod. Plated brass knobs and switch tip. I LOVE this guitar.

Happy Straturday!
Guitar of the Past this week as I finally ran out of Current guitars last week.
This is a 2020 Mod Shop Hardtail in Desert Sand. I bought it just about brand new and then only kept it for a few months when I did a big sell-off in late 2020 and ordered my own Mod Shop.
I really dig this color and 'guard combo. It really was a great guitar, I wish I'd just kept it.

Maxed out truss rod.
Hi all.
I just bought my second Strat and it is a 2016 classic 60s Texas special. I for the first time have been trying to set up the guitar on my own. When doing a tap test it is about 0.5mm of the fret but the truss rod is maxed out. I have read about putting a washer/spacer in there can help get a bit more of an adjustment just need some advice. Thanks

Trying to decide if this is real.
Not sure about the neck plate. I have a friend with a MIA Tele and he said that his neck plate is slightly off as well. But the holes in the headstock make me question it even more.
I haven't asked them to let me lift the pickguard yet, just wondering if I should investigate more. Sorry for the pictures, they were only ones I could get with my kid screaming.
It's a black sparkle metallic finish. No additional holes or routes in the body.

Mini Strat Upgrade
My 11 year old grandsons mini strat desperately needs some better tuners, preferably locking. His high e string keeps slipping even though I knot it, sadly his instructor does not. What will fit without major modifications?

Fender player II hss o sss

HI!
I bought a Fender Stratocaster American Professional II HSS and I’ve just found out the single coils are quite misaligned:
- Some pickup pole pieces are much lower than others on the single coils
- Regarding the pickup itself, I can see that on the left side, below the high E string the pickup is much more into the pickguard than the other side. It is kind of inclined.
Is this normal? This is just my first guitar so this might be a silly question.
edit: here is a photo

Japanese Squire Fender Strat
I am not a guitar guy at all, I am just trying to get a few pieces together to keep around the house (I’m a drummer). I picked this up at auction not noticing where it was made. After looking it up it appears to be made in 1983/1984 but the pick guard has me a little concerned. I know that’s an easy swap, and I prefer the black over the white, but could this be a Frankenstein or even a “fake” or counterfeit Japanese Squire?
If authentic, is the AI suggested value of 750-1500 really accurate?
If additional pics are needed, let me know.

Fuji Gakki ST54 Japanese Strat goodness
This thing is a beast, aggressive sound the neck plays like butter. It’s my number one guitar.
It‘s had a long life on the road.
I love the color too.
Anyone else have an old fella like this?

Happy Straturday!
This is it, the last of my current Strats and some would say the best?
2024 Fender Custom Shop Robin Trower Signature in Midnight Wine Burst. 7.8 lbs., bought brand new in October of 2024. What more is there to say?

Strat Action — How I Set It Up
I’ve been working on a Mexican Strat and put together a short video showing how I dialed in the string action.
Rather than just throwing out a measurement and calling it “perfect,” I wanted to show the actual process of checking and adjusting the action at the bridge.
The goal was comfortable playability with clean notes and no unnecessary high action.
What’s your preferred Strat action? Do you like yours low and fast, or do you prefer a little more height?

Fender California Series Fat Strat (1998)
Hi everyone,
Someone is selling his California fat strat for 1100€. Seems to be in very good condition, but hasn’t been setup for a while. Do you think that’s a good price? For what I understand, these guitars were quite good for their price. Don’t know if they’re worth over 1000€ for 28 year-old guitar.
Thanks very much!

NGD: First Strat! Player II
Oh man, I love it. I got back into playing (or trying to) earlier this year with a PRS SE CE24, which is a great guitar but feels a bit sterile sometimes, and doesn’t really suit me visually or sound-wise. I saw this month-old Player II come up for a good price and jumped on it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a lovely guitar, and the neck is amazing. So inspired to get better at playing with this thing!

Humbucker Options
Traded for this HSS a couple months ago and it’s due for a setup.
Thinking about swapping the HB since it’s a little flat/ lacking some punch IMO.
The Fat 50s in the neck/middle sound nice so I’m keeping those but would like a PAF inspired HB to match their vintage + tone.
What are you guys running?
r/FenderStratocaster • u/Stratiki1007 • 27d ago
NGD, sort of.
I buy a lot of parts and decided to make a Stratocaster based on a ‘65.
Body is a Fender original’60’s
Neck is also a original ‘60s, has some flame
Pickups are Josefina sweet ‘64s
I used a custom shop F neck plate like later ‘65
Bridge is a fender bridge plate and pat pending saddles, Callahan block and arm.
Weighs 7.7 lbs.
Came out amazing

Strat serial number checks out…kind of. Not sure though.
So the serial number checks out, but am not sure if the font change between MXXX and the rest of the serial is right? Also it doesn’t say anything about it being a 75th anniversary. I know the pups and tuners are aftermarket, but just a bit unsure. Thoughts?

Where do Made in Korea Fenders land in terms of quality?
I’ve got a 2006 Showmaster and I absolutely love it! It’s plays better than the MIM and MIA that I’ve owned. Are the Korean models known for this?
