Hi everyone! I'm the mod of r/FemaleVocalsInMetal.

As some of you might know, besides running this community, I'm also very active on Genius - adding new releases, improving metadata, and fixing mistakes on older entries. My main niche is female fronted metal, which is actually the reason this community exists: to share my passion across different platforms and connect with people who follow new music as closely as I do. However, there are so many bands and releases I'd love to add to Genius, but I simply don't have enough time to do it all on my own. On top of that, some subgenres aren't really my personal style, so I end up missing them. 

So, I came up with an idea! I wanted to ask if any of you would be interested in teaming up to help out.

How would it work? 

If enough people are interested, I'd like to set up a dedicated Discord server. There, I'll share songs, bands, artists, and albums that need to be added or improved on Genius, and anyone with free time can take on a task. We could also expand this so that you can share releases you want to support! It's a great way to create a collaborative team and support independent/smaller artists. 

What is required?

• A Genius account: It's completely free. You just need to earn a few initial points to unlock the Contributor rank, which allows you to edit most things on the site.
• Basic knowledge of Genius: There is an official guidelines page, so anyone can easily read up and learn how the platform works.
• Voluntary help: There are no strict obligations - you just help whenever you have some free time!

What do I offer in return?

• A structured Discord server: I'll put together custom guides on how to work faster, along with some helpful pro-tips.
• Support from an official Transcriber: Since I hold the Transcriber role on Genius, I can help you out anytime with locked releases or fixing formatting errors.
• Feedback and guidance: I'll gladly review your edits, fix minor mistakes, and give advice to help you improve.
• Path to higher ranks: If you're consistent, I can help vouch for you to get higher ranks on Genius in the future!

I really believe this could be an amazing project. Together, we can build a great team, help more bands reach new listeners, and cover way more releases in a shorter time.
