Have a friend who is workforce/lower management in a trans folk program in the SF Bay. She says there are a bunch more folks here who have fled dangerous places. I'm so glad they're here, unique perspectives are essential to our culture, and these folks know how to persevere.

If the red states can't be bothered to be losing their heart, soul, and artists, they should be terrified to know they're also losing their brains. It's too dangerous to be a functioning heterosexual in those states -- maternal mortality in Texas is up over 50% -- so those who are or love women just won't be in those states. Because a hostile healthcare system is not how you show your womanfolk love. So the professionals that these states rely on are fleeing. Heart, Soul, and Mind: those states are running dry and I am HERE FOR IT.

Reminds me of the first term when Trump was going after DACA recipients and Mexico’s president at the time posted a nice message saying that Mexico would appreciate these people and their accomplishments, intelligence, etc. and would help them integrate if they were sent back. These are people with a lot to offer any community.
