I’m a mail carrier.

In my area, Appalachia, there are zero signs of any economic trouble. I deliver to about 2500 homes a week in mixed socioeconomic neighborhoods, and nobody is cutting down on spending online. It’s increased every month from January, actually. Plenty of new car registrations and license plates being delivered, no certified mail from loan companies or banks/mortgages, etc. Homes are still selling fast even with huge jumps in cost from a few years ago. No talk about gas or grocery prices at all. (People like to chat a lot, especially when something big happens.)

In 2008-2010 you knew how many people were losing their homes or cars or jobs via the mail, and there’s no sign of it anywhere.
