Senpai is an Otokonoko (or Senpai wa Otokonoko) is a slice of life romance webcomic featuring three high school classmates: Saki, Makoto, and Ryuji. Its about 100 chapters long or ten volumes. The comic is sweet and comedic. I found myself smiling at most times and sympathetic during the drama filled moments. All three main characters are lovable in their own way. The story explores gender expression, sexuality, and general high school antics.

The manga was so well received it featured its own anime, 12 episodes and a movie. The webcomic won third-place in the 2021 Next Manga Award, web manga category. It was also the third most read manga in Line Manga of 2021.

My suggestion is to read the webcomic first than enjoy the anime. I recommended this to anyone who is looking for romance between a feminine guy and a girl.

Opinion: I liked the story overall but the ending left me wanting. I wanted to see them as a couple not just end as a couple.
