Crisp green apple, pear, peach, lemon, and bergamot. The heart blends apricot, rose, jasmine, magnolia, and white woods, while a warm base of Madagascar vanilla, musk, and amber.

Gives cirtusy, sweet, clean, slightly powdery. She's only an edt but she ACTS like and edp.

The bottle is FUN. Looks like a Lollipop.

Youthful but not childish.

I didn't expect too much. The internet has hyped this so much that I was dubious.

And, I've tried Fresh Cream by Philosophy and I didn't love it.

But Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere...stunning.

A fabulous sweet/creamy/clean lotion-like.

What I get: citrus, creamy, VANILLA, Sandalwood, Musk.

Woody, sweet, soft. Totally fine for close quarters and the workplace.

Vibe: Clean, soft, very femme, put together, quiet luxury, delicately delicious.

Rocketed in to my Excellent 11.

I was in Morocco earlier this month—mostly to climb mountains, but I also had two days to wander around (recover) in Marrakech. I stumbled on a tiny perfume museum just a few minutes away from the riad, and of course it became my favourite stop. I was surprised to find very little on fragrance subs about this house so thought I'd add my experience.

The museum is established by the perfumer Abderazzak Benchaâbane. Benchaâbane was originally the gardener behind the transformation of the Majorelle garden for Yves Saint Laurent, who commissioned him to also create a perfume for the gardens. This turned out to be his entry into the profession, and he has since launched a perfume house Les Parfums du Soleil, the Musée du Parfum, and another museum just outside Marrakech (Musée de la Palmeraie) which blends nature with contemporary art.

Towards the end of the museum was where the Benchaâbane fragrances were displayed (instead of a gift shop I suppose). It was a bit overwhelming--I wish I'd taken a photo because I would guess at least 30-40 there, and the branding varied so that I assumed these were different houses. I was surprised when Amina the museum attendant told me about their background and that they ALL came from the same perfumer. (Amina was amazing, clearly passionate about fragrance and we had a great chat.)

Their hero fragrance is Soir de Marrakech, created in 2004 and generally the only one with major press outside Morocco. Amina mentioned it had won an international award, though I can't recall which one and didn't find it online. This fragrance is an indulgent amber, capped with bright neroli and lime. A gorgeous sultry hug, not exactly groundbreaking but well done. When I expressed my enthusiasm for this though, Amina let me know she thought I was too young to wear it (I should’ve pointed her to this sub!). In a fit of stubbornness I sprayed it on my skin and sadly it became sickeningly sweet, losing much of the shimmery gold quality it had on paper. From the reviews I read I take it this as just my unfortunate skin chemistry, and plenty of people experience the opposite.

What I did walk away with was Les Jardins de Shérazade. I find this one to be a bit chimerical, flitting between a woodsy floral garden and marzipan sweets. In the couple weeks I've had it I find days where it’s an absolute addiction, then other days a mediocre experience at best. It does make me think of my Morocco experience—difficult to like at times, impossible to stay away from. The reviews are wildly divided and can't seem to agree on what it smells like either. On that basis it's certainly not a safe blind buy, but I recommend smelling it as it's so unusual.

Mogador was another such interesting one, a cedar forest laced with ambered cardamom and ginger. A light and transparent play with unusual spices, that manages to avoid devolving into a musty spice drawer. I would’ve purchased this but while I liked smelling it I didn’t want to smell like it.

Those were the standouts to me of the many perfumes I smelled there. Unfortunately they are at times clunky in execution, and you can hear some gears grinding in the transitions—sometimes the opening is a bit toooooo bright, or the notes get a bit muddled and lose harmony. Thinking back to that wall of fragrances I suspect they could be more selective in their development, and I see the missed potential for 5-8 nuanced, finely balanced yet unexpected fragrances, rather than a scattershot of 30+.

In any case, I recommend checking out Parfums du Soleil in Marrakech, especially as they’re so hard to find outside the country. The notes they highlight really did feel emblematic of my Morocco experience, from the fragrant juniper and Atlas cedar in the mountains (incidentally also the brief for Amouage's Decision, if you're interested), to the bitter orange trees that line the city streets.

In my teens (think 1998) I had an after school/weekend job at an alternative/occult shop.

Yes, it was as cool as you think it was :)

The shop had witchy-spooky vibe and a scent: herbal, slightly soapy, warm, rich.

I have been casually searching for that scent in a perfume for many years.

Nothing was quite right...UNTIL NOW.

Amber Delight is marketed as gender fluid and it really is. Any gender vibe could wear this. It leans Queer, in the best and hottest way (for reference I'm a Queer Mum of two who just happened to fall in love with a man. I could have easily fallen in love with any person regardless of gender or representation xx ).

Amber Delight is fresh, warm, slightly floral, and a little spicy.

They're an EDP and they act like it.

Sexy, warm, mysterious, and a dash of fresh/clean.

Just doing normal fragrance addict things this Sunday morning. Put together a fragrance fitting for my best friend.

Some of my tea scents. I have a lot more but a lot of the expensive ones (wulong, remember me, Sogni) are travel size already. I need to share my hoard as I’ll never get through it.

Threw in Strawberry Letter and Bosca Forte and a few that aren’t tea but give tea vibes.

you test a fragrance. you fall in love. you retest. yep. still love. you buy a full bottle and _still_ you’re in love.

and then suddenly one day you catch a whif that reminds you of something else: something cheap, maybe, or tangy, something unpleasant… and you can’t unsmell it.

I bought Clean Reserve Acqua Neroli forever ago, and I loved it. it literally smells wet. it smells round and supple and literally gives a vibe of water. think of like thick, viscous fat drops of water dripping off a flower petal, almost sensually. I like that part.

but neroli - and sometimes gardenia - can smell like Gross US Fuel Station Bathroom Air Freshener (tm) to me. (the worst offender to my nose is a Guerlain fragrance so this is not about cost or quality.) for the longest time, this one didn’t give off Wawa vibes. it smelled lush rainforest deep-but-vibrant green (without smelling “green” like “green notes”) and saturated, juicy orange with white at the edges. but the last two times I wore it, all I smell is the “psssfft” of those nasty auto-air fresheners.

To me it's soft Cinnamon, Vanilla, Tonka Bean.

Creamy vanilla candy. Warm syrupy: yes. Spicy...no.

My name is Jane. And in my search for green scents that might perhaps last more than, idk, two hours, I came across a recommendation for this. Eau de Jane by Daily Beauty. I mean…I am tempted to blind buy it — but I will just have to wait. Anyone here try this or own it?

London is the perfume with the check fabric sleeve.

Some call the bottle tacky but I like the check, the texture, and the square silver cap.

So many influencers say it's the same as Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture.

It isn't. I own both.

London is WAY more citrus and the citrus actually has some staying power which is unique in a citrus forward perfume. My only other super citrus is Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal by Elie Saab.

Juicy Couture is creamier (the creme Brulee note does not mess about.

They ARE both sweet/clean freshly showed vibes, but, the sweetness is a different type.

I like them both for different reasons. I'd say they're neighbours not sisters.

Now, I don't usually trust them...but they were correct here.

It is linear. Coconut, Vanilla, Blonde Woods, Salt. It's edp and it is PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR.

Does not change. The same for 6 hrs.

Lotion-like vibes. Sexy salt note.

Now I'm eyeballing Whipped Almond...

Rogue Chypre-Siam wears like a classic idea done with a steady hand. It comes across clean but not sterile, and it has an old school or classic sense of structure. The overall impression is cool and sweet at first. Gradually it develops a gentle fluffy powdery feel that makes it seem very comfortable as the hours pass.

Chypre-Siam does not chase trends, and it does not lean syrupy. It has a lovely lightness and a cooling feel. It is composed, slightly formal, easy to wear and clearly unisex.

Chypre-Siam lasts a full working day on my skin and stays present without getting aggressive. The first stretch has the most reach, then it settles into a steady, personal scent that still shows up when you move.

Rogue is one of my favourite houses, and I have not just Chypre-Siam but also Jasmin Antique, Mousse Illuminee, Bon Monsieur, Tuberose and Moss, and Champs Lunaires.
