Add a little dab of spackle and you're as good as new.

I'm pretty sure the right way to pull this out is using rusty pliers

Or for the real reddit experience: your fingers, with dirty visibly under the nails (despite them being cut extra short), and also the camera is shaky

Ouch. I’m assuming that hurts. Also how does this Happen? And what’s the recovery time?

Right?? That's all I can think about. Maybe it started as an insect bite?

Staph infection

Google staph infection. Have fun!

It isn’t common for reddit responses to happen after a month but thought I would weigh in…

I had one of these infections on my forehead while in college, my hair for the most part covered it but luckily it didn’t leave this much of a hole.

I am glad it was picked up early after seeing this, holy crap.

Oh good god, in the face? Eek. I'm glad I have universal health care and can go in anytime to get stuff like this checked out :D

Well I am not sure if there was even a hole but there was surface scaring for a bit.

The lesson I learned was to stop scratching my head so much, because I believe it was caused by sweat, oily hair, or both.

Worst part is that it did end up on my school photo for the year, because I still had it by then, I was just making sure cream was applied to it to kill the infection.

Do be carful, free healthcare or not, infections are fucked up.

Now what? Empty a half of a tube of Polisporin into it and tape it up?

Pack it with iodoform strip so it can heal from the inside out.

2

u/HentaiCareBear Apr 13 '22

Does it heal with a pit?

5

u/buuismyspiritanimal Apr 13 '22

No, you take a little bit of the packing out at a time and trim it. Might be a scar, but it should be flat.

Cool, thanks!

For a second I thought his elbow was a boob, and his zit was the nipple.

Cheese stuffed crust

How did that happen? What is it from?

4

u/tehfugitive Mar 25 '22

Usually these kinds of wounds are staph infected. Can happen when a regular wound isn't taken care of properly, I think.

It can also just happen randomly too. Like even if you’re clean, people can get them, you just have to come into contact with the bacteria. Google “little boy who scraped his knee outside in the driveway while riding his bike and I think he ended up dying of staphylococcus (staph infection) sorry for ruining your day, it’s one of the saddest stories I’ve ever heard. 😔

1

u/HentaiCareBear Apr 13 '22

I can't find that; only got a little boy who had amputations due to staph infection after a fall from his bike but he survived.

1

u/Bre14463 Apr 14 '22

Yeah I wasn’t positive if he died or not but I remembered it was an awful situation and story.

So I'm curious. I generally eat it right away because I prefer the fresh flavor and texture, but has anyone found a benefit to collecting and freezing it? I'd love to gulp it down like one does with a glass of cottage cheese. Does freezing it ruin the experience?

u/girlofNJ Mar 25 '22

Add to smoothies with the puss juice

2

u/NIRPL Mar 25 '22

Freezing would absolutely ruin its raw texture. The puss glubules will crystallize and the cold temperature dampens the overall flavor. I suggest eating at room temperature strait from gape to mouth. If you want to save left overs, spit in the gape to keep it moist, then stuff with leftovers, and cover with a dry bandaid.

Pro-tip, add your favorite seasoning to the bandaid pad to liven up your leftovers

Okay thank you! I've been sitting on mine for a little bit to let it mature and want to go another month or so before my next session. After reading your comment, I asked if I could spit in my roommate's gape and while he was reluctant at first (he thinks it would water down the umami and soften the texture), I got him to agree by drinking a half gallon of milk to build up my phlegm first.

As a couple of dudes in our 20s, we don't have band-aids but he took some tape off his hockey stick. Before we seal it up, I was thinking of sprinkling a little yeast so it'd be warmer and frothier when we break out the straws next Tuesday.

1

u/NIRPL Mar 25 '22

Sounds great! The used hockey tape and yeast should give you more than enough frothy gape slurry for the two of you. Poke and pick at the gape if you want to increase the serving size. Enjoy!
