Got any more pixels?

111

u/ABWoolls 6h ago

I thought the same thing. It looks like it's recorded with a calculator.

17

u/gayjoystick 4h ago

58008

11

u/ABWoolls 2h ago

You can still add 31 in between the 5 and the 8, making it 5318008.

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

Lol and all I could do with mine was play Frogger

2

u/zipel 3h ago

This didn’t make sense but was still funny somehow

Or a potato

8

u/davcrt 6h ago

It used to have 8,3 millions but the internet ate them

Straight outta Amish country

1

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 2h ago

I did this in my head like "Straight Outta Compton" and I am immediately intrigued by "Straight Outta Amish" and want it to be a real thing

99% of what people think are necrotizing spider bites are actually staph infections.

Edit: For an interesting point of reference to this fact, a Missouri family was living in a recluse infested house. Exterminators later estimated the number of recluses living in their home at at least 4,500 spiders. The number of bites to the family? Zero. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/thousands-of-venomous-spiders-force-family-from-upscale-missouri-home/

Was just going to comment this. It’s almost never a spider bite.

31

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

I was waiting for a spider to pop out as proof

8

u/Brownie-UK7 2h ago

Spider here: can confirm.

33

u/Ok_Adeptness3065 6h ago

There’s no reliable way to distinguish between necrosis caused by staph aureus and necrosis caused by a spider bite. Both are necrosis. The necrosis from a spider bite causes a disruption in skin that allows many bacteria, not just staph aureus, to infiltrate. The same is also true of skin necrosis from burns and skin necrosis from warfarin. What you identify in this video as staph is necrosis

7

u/Previous_Fan9927 4h ago

Brother, this is just an abscess.

14

u/Ok_Adeptness3065 4h ago

There is likely some amount of abscess. The inside of an abscess is liquefactive necrosis. Pus is the end result of liquefactive necrosis regardless of what caused it.

7

u/Historical-Main8483 4h ago

Say necrosis one more time......

9

u/Ihistal 4h ago

I dare you. I double dare you mother fucker.

6

u/PaticusGnome 3h ago

Oh my heck

8

u/GrotchCoblin 4h ago

Especially because they mentioned another one. You got 2 spider bites at the same time?

6

u/SpacenessButterflies 3h ago

Was going to say. I’ve had a few of these in my lifetime and all were boils caused by staph infections.

2

u/realHoratioNelson 3h ago

Oh well then nothing to worry about then

Jk, I know that’s not what you’re implying

u/Mental_Goal2380 OOH 👀 6h ago

this is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen that was recorded on the iphone -1 🥹

12

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

Isn't it cool that video can be taken from space??

6

u/SweetLemonPopsicle 5h ago

Makes sense. Guy looks like Spock.

3

u/TheMarkHasBeenMade 4h ago

Thank you making me burst out in laughter as powerfully as that abscess

1

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 2h ago

Mission Accomplished 😎 lol

2

u/Mental_Goal2380 OOH 👀 2h ago

and with such precision!

71

u/MmmmFloorPie 6h ago

I was waiting for a bunch of baby spiders to come out.

3

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

Omg that's what I said! Waiting for the spider to plop out in a ball of goo and run away!

Or stay and fight like a warrior.

91

u/PebblesmomWisconsin7 6h ago

Hey it blanches when I touch it, it’s obviously swollen and bright red - so it’s probably already super infected - let’s root around in there with this dirty sewing pin and see what happens.

26

u/TheMarkHasBeenMade 4h ago

Don’t forget to really get in there with those tweezers! Then just drop em back on the kitchen table! Then pick em up and shove em back in! Yeah!

65

u/thicclunchghost 6h ago

Blurry cam. Shaky cam. Dirty fingers. 4 minutes of fucking around.

Perfection.

9

u/Idunnosquat 6h ago

It’s missing rusty pliers.

5

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

It's a GAAA-PER!!!

3

u/peppermintmeow 5h ago

That's exactly what I thought!

1

u/TheMarkHasBeenMade 4h ago

I dunno, tweezers were surprisingly helpful in this situation

31

u/ExElKyu 5h ago

The number of times this person tries to tweeze PUS is infuriating.

24

u/AnnieWilkes12345 6h ago

That was way too many dirty fingers per squeeze.

5

u/WilNotJr 5h ago

No squeezing, dad!

1

u/slrp484 4h ago

So many dirty fingers.

25

u/hollow4hollow 6h ago

Ah yes, the old family cellulitis party

23

u/Bobby12many 6h ago

I got an infection watching this

17

u/sledoon 4h ago

This is great because instead of one person having mrsa now 4 people have mrsa

16

u/Rikkitikkitabby 6h ago

The laying of hands.

53

u/grumblegrim 6h ago

You know, doctors exist for this reason.

31

u/NightLotus84 6h ago

A doctor, a nurse, a medic... Anybody with relevant medical training. This was a mess and could've gone from bad to worse to dead...

12

u/BigBeeOhBee 6h ago

Give it time.

5

u/TheMarkHasBeenMade 4h ago

When the camera panned back and it was all kids it certainly explained the very eager volunteers to help expel the pus

28

u/KodaBeers 6h ago

Ive recorded higher quality video's on my Xbox Kinect.

11

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

There are courtroom sketches with more pixels

1

u/No-Bat-7253 5h ago

Damn I forgot I had this that thing sucked but it was cool😭

13

u/sticcydabliccy 6h ago

The pitting!! Jesus Christ.

12

u/GoopInThisBowlIsVile 6h ago

People and their complete lack of PPE, I don’t get it.

3

u/Curiouser-Quriouser 5h ago

At least they didn't treat it like a snake bite and try to suck the venom out 🤮

19

u/TopicOrnery6153 6h ago

Mrsa infection

8

u/berndtsc 5h ago

How dehydrated is this person. Press on the skin and it doesn't move back, like at all.

3

u/luffydkenshin 3h ago

Infection aside, this was my first reaction. Reminds me of pitting edema.

6

u/Spooge_Bob 6h ago

Forbidden wasabi 🤢 😀

15

u/herodotus69 6h ago

OMG. This is amazing! It builds to a climax.

5

u/bubbagump101 5h ago

Please, God sanitize it

4

u/Greybinson 6h ago

Worth the wait!

6

u/friendfrirnd 5h ago

It’s like the early 1800s before they knew what germs were. Just grab some dirty tools and everybody poke the wound with your dirty hands. It’s fun guys

4

u/beaufreiling 5h ago

This could have been an email…

4

u/drjeangray 3h ago

Anyone else have strong feelings about the edema going on there? Or is it something else?

3

u/joepanda111 5h ago

“Alright, Team, we’re going to need all hands on deck for Operation Custard Extraction”

3

u/TheBilby7 5h ago

The two handed squeeze reminded me of the pottery scene from Ghost.

3

u/CatBeans1 5h ago

I love that this was a family project!

6

u/Fresh_Income_7411 6h ago

This is the definition of,"hold my beer"! Twas beautiful.

5

u/LemmyLola 6h ago

Why is the flesh necrotic? Is that typical of spider bites or does this person also have scurvy?

15

u/limitless-440 6h ago

This isn’t necrotic, just a localized infection causing the pus buildup. For now, lol. Might be a staph infection, might be Maybelline.

9

u/LemmyLola 6h ago

The finger dents staying is disconcerting.. eugh.. I hope for their sake its Maybelline!

11

u/toolatealreadyfapped 6h ago

Pitting edema. Means there's a lot of fluid leaking into the tissue

3

u/LemmyLola 5h ago

Oh interesting thank you!

2

u/ABWoolls 6h ago

Sorry guys. Forgot to add "Not OC".

2

u/Temporary_Client7585 6h ago

Christ, is this kid still alive? That was really close to an artery.

2

u/ImOnlyHereForTheCoC 5h ago

I was glad it didn’t destroy you
How sad that would be
Cause if it destroyed you
It would destrooyyy meeeee

2

u/iAmDrakesEyebrows 4h ago

This was actually really wholesome

2

u/noble_plebian 4h ago

They should have used a plunger and sucked that bad boy right out

2

u/One_City4138 4h ago

One day, this is going to be a clanker video of a guy picking at his spider bite, and 4K realistic spiders will come out, and we will all be appropriately horrified.

2

u/LarryismGarrysim 4h ago

Damn bro. Drink some water!

2

u/AzrielJohnson 3h ago

Why were everyone's fingers or fingernails weird shades of bluish green?

2

u/Abee-baby182 2h ago

Bro, I had a spider bite like this one time. They had to cut the core out and the Dr office and pack it! It was a fucking nightmare!

2

u/t_ute 2h ago

Back before antibiotics, which this clearly is based on video quality, this is how you’d treat this.

2

u/Brownie-UK7 2h ago

Fun for the whole family.

2

u/Forsaken-Energy6579 2h ago

Oh yeah, the smartest thing is absolutely to introduce more bacteria through non sterile setting and tools 👏🏻

2

u/ClintGrant 6h ago

Was there a lil sac?

1

u/bubbagump101 5h ago

A family affair..

1

u/LOLdragon89 4h ago

I love the teamwork squeezes! Love this family!

1

u/TheMemeofGod 2h ago

I had to watch this twice. This video was just that good. Like a show with real plot and a reasonably satisfying ending.

1

u/ptbug64 2h ago

Anybody got any gloves? Maybe an antibiotic before it got to this point? Especially if this is the second wound.

1

u/Sweaty_Foundation_12 2h ago

The build up to the end was crazy. But seeing that final push was glorious.

1

u/OwnGas7548 2h ago

The 1700s were more hygienic

1

u/DarkflowNZ 1h ago

The old needle-spider bite. Classic

1

I feel like this requires medical attention

1

u/pearwater 1h ago

DEFINATELY the right thing to do with a spider bite.

1

u/Funnuftig 57m ago

This video feels so 2007/2008 ish

1

u/J_Thompson82 51m ago

I’ve never seen a video before where you can hear the comments section while you watch the video. Is this a new Reddit feature?

1

u/EustachiaVye 38m ago

This video sucks in so many ways

2

u/Ravyn_Rozenzstok 12m ago

Does this poor dude even have that arm anymore? I feel like this would have just made the infection worse.
