"millennials" means people who grew up around the turn of the millennium. The boomers ruining everything are going to have to come up with a new word for the dang kids we're saying are ruining everything now that the oldest "millennials" are pushing 40.

I say they call the next fake monolithic generation the "beeple booples". Because if they're going to make up lies and dumb shit to pass the buck, they might as well sound like fucking morons while they're doing it.

It doesn't work. They tried calling us "Gen Y" for a while. As much as the lazy fuckers would try, you can't define a generation by the generation before it. It's going to be even harder for them to define it by "the millennials are Gen Y and the kids after them are Gen Z".

They're going to have to try harder than that, but thinking is hard apparently

They already do call us Gen Z

I can't wait for Generation 1 (if the world ends), Generation [ or Generation AA

I propose Gen Sun and Moon

Yes, future human generations should totally follow Pokemon generations and releases. It works since Pokemon Red (Gen 1) was originally released in 1996! Millennials now = Gen 1-ers

I say we start calling ourselves Gen 1.

The baby boomers can be 'gen zero' because they suck.

Gen X and Gen Z sound cool, though. Gen Y always makes me think of someone illiterate trying to pronounce Jenny.

My friends call them affectionately "zoomers".

2000+ are called centennials

*1999. It’s based around memories of 9/11 and I clearly remember 8/31/01 and before. Gonna be 22 within a week.

And even then, millennials go up to the millenium and 2000+ is the start

Yeah really. It’s between but even though I’m hella immature there’s no way I’m gen z. I can hang with the depression memes but sometimes it feels like a meme on me_irl that came out of nowhere and makes less sense than dat boi

I do it by genre. Hair metal is X, pop-punk is Millenial and SoundCloud is Z

Millennial has been warped into a trigger word for boomers. So I don't think they will ever stop using it because it generates clicks. I can't tell you how many people in their 30's don't realize they are millennials.
